Hubungan antara hardiness dengan ketakutan akan sukses pada pegawai wanita Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Lawang

Pada zaman sekarang ini, seorang wanita yang sukses atau seorang wanita yang memegang jabatan yang tinggi merupakan suatu hal yang wajar. Bahkan beberapa Negara pernah memiliki presiden seorang wanita, termasuk Indonesia. Namun masih saja sering terdengar cerita wanita memilih berhenti bekerja terutama setelah menikah. Karena umumnya terdapat Irrational belief akan adanya konsekuensi negatif seperti kehilangan feminitas, kehilangan penghargaan sosial dan penolakan sosial pada diri wanita ketika mereka sukses diranah publik. Hal ini akan menimbulkan stres, terlebih jika wanita tersebut tidak memiliki kemampuan untuk mempengaruhi atau mengubah efek negatif dari stres (hardiness).

Objek penelitian ini adalah pegawai wanita di RSUD Lawang. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitan ini, (1) ingin mengetahui tingkat hardiness pegawai wanita di RSUD Lawang, (2) mengetahui tingkat fear of success pada pegawai wanita di RSUD Lawang, dan (3) ingin mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara hardiness dengan fear of success pada pegawai wanita di RSUD Lawang.

Untuk mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan kuesioner dimana terdapat skala kepribadian hardiness dan skala fear of success yang menggunakan skala berbentuk skala Likert. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi bivariat untuk menguji hubungan antara hardiness sebagai prediktor dengan fear of success sebagai kriterium yaitu dengan teknik analisis data Korelasi Product Moment Pearson. Jumlah subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 26 pegawai wanita Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Lawang, dimana tingkat usianya adalah dewasa muda (25-40 tahun) yang sudah menikah.

Berdasarkan analisa penelitian, diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: pada variabel hardiness, yakni 50% pegawai wanita pada ketegori tinggi, dalam kategori sedang 42,3% dan 7,7% pegawai wanita dalam kategori rendah. Sedangkan pada variabel ketakutan akan kesuksesan (fear of success), yakni pegawai wanita dengan tingkat fear of success tinggi sebanyak 15,39%, pegawai wanita dengan tingkat fear of success sedang sebesar 61,54%, dan dalam kategori rendah sebanyak 23,1%. Pada uji hasil hipotesis diperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,684 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,030 (p < 0,05). Dari hasil tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kepribadian hardiness dengan fear of success, Namun hubungannya bersifat negatif. Artinya semakin tinggi hardiness subjek maka semakin rendah fear of success-nya dan semakin rendah hardiness semakin tinggi fear of success.

At this now period, a successful woman or a woman who held a high position is a natural thing. Even some of the country ever had a woman president, including Indonesia. But still often heard stories of women choose to stop working, especially after marriage. Because generally there is Irrational belief that there is a negative consequence such as loss of femininity, loss of social esteem and social denial about her when they succeed in public domain. This will cause stress, especially if the woman does not have the ability to influence or change the negative effects of stress (hardiness).

Object of this study are female employees in Lawang hospitals. The formulation of the problem in this research, (1) to determine the level of hardiness female employees in Lawang hospitals, (2) determine the level of fear of success on female employees in Lawang hospitals, and (3) wanted to know is there a relationship between hardiness with a fear of success female employees in Lawang hospitals.

To collect data on this study conducted by questionaire in which there are personality hardiness scale and the scale of fear of success using the Likert scale form. This study uses a bivariate correlation test to examine the relationship between hardiness as predictors with fear of success as a criterion, namely with the techniques of data analysis Product Pearson Moment Correlation. The number of subjects in this study were 26 female employees General Hospital (RSUD) Lawang, where the age is a young adult (25-40 years) who are married.

Based on the analysis of the study, obtained the following results: the hardiness variables, namely 50% of female employees in higher categories, the medium category was 42.3% and 7.7% of female employees in lower categories. While the variable fear of success (fear of success), that female employees with high levels of fear of success as much as 15.39%, female employees to the medium level of fear of success was 61.54%, and in the low category as much as 23.1% . Hypothesis test results obtained on the correlation coefficient of -0.684 with a significance of 0.030 (p <0.05). From these results it can be seen that there is a significant relationship between personality hardiness with a fear of success, but its relationship is negative. This means that more and more high the hardiness of subjects, more and more low her fear of success and the more and more low the hardiness, more and more high the fear of success.
