ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap teori Tata Bahasa Kasus yang terdapat dalam film “The Imam”. Menurut Fillmore bahwa tata bahasa kasus adalah sebuah penyempurnaan dari tata bahasa tradisional yang berkembang di Yunani pada saat itu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan teori tata bahasa kasus dalam film “The Imam” yang disutradarai oleh Abdul Baari Abu Al-Khairi, berdasarkan perspektif Charles J. Fillmore. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti dalam hal ini menggunakan teknik baca catat untuk mengumpulkan data dengan menggunakan cara dari Miles dan Huberman untuk menganalisis data.

Dalam tahap ini meneliti sebuah percakapan yang terjadi di dalam novel dengan membaca. Tahap selanjutnya yaitu dengan mencatat percakapan-percakapan dan mengelompokkan kedalam kedua unsur yang terdapat dalam teori yaitu modalitas dan proposisi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan teori tata bahasa kasus yang terdiri dari unsur modalitas dan proposisi yang terdapat dalam film The Imam yang disutradarai oleh Abdul Baari Abu Al-Khairi. Peneliti menemukan unsur modalitas dalam novel tersebut yaitu (1) Modalitas Kala, (2) Modalitas Adverbia, (3) Modalitas Negasi, dan (4) Modalitas Mood (Modus). Sedangkan dalam unsur unsur proposisi peneliti menemukan 6 kasus yakni (1) Kasus Agentif, (2) Kasus Waktu, (3) Kasus Lokatif, (4) Kasus Objektif, (5) Kasus Penyerta, (6) Kasus Eksperiens. Dalam kedua unsur tata bahasa kasus tersebut keseluruhan di landasi oleh percakapan pada setiap tokoh yang terdapat dalam film ”The Imam” oleh Abdul Baari Abu Al-Khairi.

ABSTRACT

This research aims to uncover the theory of Case Grammar contained in the movie "The Imam". According to Fillmore, case grammar was a refinement of the traditional grammar that developed in Greece at that time. This research aims to explain the theory of case grammar in the movie “The Imam" Abdul Baari Abu Al-Khairi, based on the perspective of Charles J. Fillmore. This research is descriptive qualitative research. In this case, the researcher used note- reading techniques to collect data using the methods of Miles and Huberman to analyze the data.

In this stage, research a conversation that occurs in the novel by reading. The next stage is to record the conversations and group them into the two elements contained in the theory, namely modality and proposition. The aim of this research is to explain the theory of case grammar which consists of modality and proposition elements contained in the movie “The Imam” by Abdul Baari Abu Al-Khairi. Researchers found modality elements in the movie, namely (1) tense, (2) adverbs, (3) negation, and (4) Mood. Meanwhile, in terms of propositional elements, the researcher found 6 cases, namely (1) agentive case, (2) time case, (3) locative case, (4) objective case, (5) companion case, (6) experiens case. In both cases, the grammatical elements are entirely based on conversations between each character in the movie “The Imam” by Abdul Baari Abu Al-Khairi.
