Abstract
ABSTRAK:
Kota Medan merupakan kota multietnis yang memiliki keberagaman budaya, keberagaman budaya atau etnis ini dapat dirasakan suasana-nya dari terdapatnya dua kampung budaya pada Kota Medan. Salah satu contoh kampung budaya pada Kota Medan adalah kampung India dan kampung China, keberadaan dua kampung tersebut dapat dijadikan wadah edukasi untuk lebih mengenal dua etnis tersebut. Dengan menambahnya kawasan wisata lain di Kota Medan untuk dijadikan wadah edukasi budaya bagi masyarakat sekitar Kota Medan, maka dari itu ide perancangan ini muncul untuk menjadi wadah penggemar budaya korea berinteraksi dan juga dapat dijadikan tempat edukasi mempelajari budaya korea bagi masyarakat Kota Medan. Penggunaan pendekatan Reinvigorating Tradition yang membawa suasana budaya tradisional korea ke tapak untuk mengambil fisik arsitektur vernakular yang ada pada aslinya sehingga muncul suasana budaya korea di tapak dengan tetap memperhatikan kondisi sekitar tapak dan lokalitas agar pengunjung yang berkunjung dapat merasakan suasana budaya korea dilokasi tapak.
ABSTRACT:
Medan City is a multiethnic city that has cultural diversity in this region, cultural or ethnicdiversity can be felt from the atmosphere of the existence of two cultural villages in Medan City.One example of a cultural village in Medan City is the Indian village and the Chinese village, theexistence of the two villages can be used as an educational forum to get to know the twoethnicities better. With the addition of other tourist areas in Medan City to be used as a forumfor cultural education for the people around Medan City, therefore this design idea emerged tobe a place for Korean culture fans to interact and can also be used as a place of education tolearn Korean culture for the people of Medan City. The use of the Reinvigorating Traditionapproach that brings the atmosphere of traditional Korean culture to the site to take the physicalvernacular architecture that exists in the original so that the atmosphere of Korean cultureappears on the site while still paying attention to the conditions around the site and locality sothat visitors who visit can feel the atmosphere of Korean culture at the site location.
