و كان نتائج البحث هي 1) خصائص الشخصية الرئيسية في القصة القصيرة "نعمان" لكامل كيلاني بالنظرية الفريد أدلر يدل 6 أفعال ليحصل الكفاح في سبيل التفوق، و يدل 5 أفعال ليحصل الذات الإبداعية، و يدل 5 أفعال ليحصل نمط الحياة. 2) عوامل التي تؤثر للشخصية الرئيسية في القصة القصيرة "نعمان" لكامل كيلاني بالنظرية الفريد أدلر 3 العوامل على وهي العوامل الجسدىية، والعوامل البيئة، و العوامل الذات النفسية.

The aim of this research is 1) to describe the characteristics of the main character in the short story "Nauman" by Kamel Kilani with the theory of Alfred Adler 2) to describe the factors that influence the main character in the short story "Nu’man" by Kamel Kilani with the theory of Alfred Adler. This research is qualitative research. The method of data collection that the researcher used in this research is the method of reading and the method of writing. The researcher analyzed the collected data using the qualitative analysis pattern of Mills and Hubermann, which is data reduction, data presentation, and data investigation.

The results of the research are: 1) Characteristics of the main character in the short story "Nu’man" by Kamel Kilani in the theory of Alfred Adler. He demonstrates 6 actions to achieve the struggle for supremacy, and denotes 5 actions to achieve the creative self, and indicates 5 actions to achieve a lifestyle. 2) Factors that influence the main character of Kamel Kilani's short story "Nu’man" in the theory of Alfred Adler 3 factors on which are physical factors, environmental factors, and psychological factors.

Setiap manusia memiliki kepribadian masing-masing. Dalam ilmu psikologi dinyatakan bahwa setiap individu adalah unik artinya setiap orang memiliki perasaan untuk dapat mengembangkan minatnya dan mempunyai kemampuan untuk berpikir. Akan tetapi, setiap individu akan berbeda caranya dalam berperasaan, mengembangkan pikirannya, dan menentukan perkembangan minatnya. Peran utama dalam cerpen “Nu’man” yang di teliti dalam penelitian ini adalah Nu’man.

Cerpen “Nu’man” merupakan salah satu cerpen Kamil Kailani. Ia adalah penulis terkenal cerpen untuk anak-anak. Salah satu cerpen ini, sangat bagus untuk anak-anak. Latar belakang cerpen “Nu’man” di ambil dari kisah tokoh utama yang bernama Nu’man. Ia melakukan perjalanan dari negaranya ke negara lain untuk menyiarkan kemenangannya. Ketika tengah perjalanan, ia bertemu dengan seorang raja di istana raja yang terletak di dalam hutan.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) menjelaskan karakter tokoh utama dalam cerpen “Nu’man” dengan perspektif Alfred Adler, 2) menjelaskan faktor yang mempengaruhi tokoh utama dalam “Nu’man” dengan perspektif Alfred Adler. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik baca dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, mengolah data, dan verifikasi data.

Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) karakter tokoh utama dalam cerpen “Nu’man” dengan perspektif Alfred Adler ditentukan melalui tindakan tokoh utama yaitu memiliki 6 tindakan yang menunjukkan tokoh utama agar mencapai superior, 5 tindakan yang menunjukkan diri kreatif tokoh utama, dan 5 tindakan yang menunjukkan gaya hidup tokoh utama. 2) faktor yang mempengaruhi tokoh utama dalam cerpen “Nu’man” dengan perspektif Alfred Adler ada tiga, faktor fisik, faktor lingkungan, dan faktor psikologi.
