Abstract
INDONESIA:
Untuk mencapai kesuksesan dalam hidup ditentukan oleh adversity quotient. Stoltz (2007 : 12) mengatakan adversity quotient merupakan factor yang terpenting dalam meraih kesuksesan dengan tetap berpegang teguh pada prinsip dan cita-citanya. Sehingga seseorang yang mempunyai adversity quotient tinggi ialah individu yang merasa optimis, teguh, memiliki motivasi yang tinggi dan memiliki mental bertahan yang baik saat menghadapi kesulitan. Hal ini penting bila dikaitkan sebagai unsur pendorong belajar siswa dalam mempelajari matematika karena mayoritas siswa mengaku enggan belajar matematika karena menganggap pelajaran matematika memiliki tingkat kesulitan yang relatif tinggi dibandingkan pelajaran yang lain. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Takhassus Al-Qur’an, Kabupaten Wonosobo untuk mengetahui Hubungan Adversity Quotient dengan Motivasi Belajar siswa kelas XI IPS dan bahasa dalam mata pelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan apakah ada hubungan antara Adversity Quotient dengan Motivasi Belajar siswa dalam mempelajari matematika.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Variabel bebas (X) adversity quotient dan variabel terikatnya (Y) motivasi belajar. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 82 responden. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil mengunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan dua skala berbentuk likert, dilengkapi dengan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas menggunakan rumus product moment dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus alpha cronbach. Sedangkan metode analisis data menggunakan rumus correlation. Dengan bantuan SPSS versi 16.0 for Windows.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 66% (54 siswa) mempunyai tingkat adversity quotient tinggi dan 34% (28 siswa) sedang. Kemudian terdapat 59% (48 siswa) mempunyai tingkat motivasi belajar tinggi dan 41% (34 siswa) sedang. Adapun korelasinya, menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan dengan nilai (r 0,548 ; sig < 0,01) atau taraf signifikansi 1% antara adversity quotient dengan motivasi belajar.

For achieving successful in life is determined by adversity quotient. Stoltz (2007 : 12) said : adversity quotientis the most important factorin order to achieving successful by stay hold on its principles and ambition. Someone who has high adversity quotientis optimistic person, firm, high motivation and have good defence mental while faced difficulty. Itis important if connectedas student’s learning supportin learn mathematics because most of students revealed that they lazy to learn mathematics because they think that mathematics has high level difficulty than another subject. This research have done in Takhassus Al-Qur’an senior high school, Wonosobo district in order to know the Correlation between Adversity Quotient with Eleven grade student’s learning motivation at Social and Language class in Mathematics Subject. This research purpose is to proove is there any correlation between Adversity Quotient with Student’s Learning Motivation in learn mathematics.
This research use kuantitatif method. The independent variable (X) is adversity quotient and the dependent variable (Y) is learning motivation. research subjects was 82 respondents. The example session in this research has taken by purposive random sampling method. The method of collecting data is using two scales formed likert, completed by observation method, interview, and documentation. The validity test use product moment formula and reliability test use alpha cronbach formula. The data analytic method use correlation formula help by SPSS 16.0 for windows
The research result showed that 66% (54 students) have high level of adversity quotient and 34% (28 students) have medium level of adversity quotient. Then there is any 59% (48 students) have high level of learning motivation and 41% (34 students) have medium level of learning motivation. And about the correlation showed that there is very significant positive correlation with its point (r 0,548 ; sig < 0,01) or significant level 1% between adversity quotient with learning motivation.
