Abstract

INDONESIA:

ENGLISH:

This study aims to analyse the influence of digital transformation and digital competence on employee performance through adaptablity among staff at the Malang City Department of Manpower, Investment, and One-Stop Integrated Services (DISNAKER PMPTSP). The study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The study population consisted of 75 staff members, all of whom were included in the sample using a saturation sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analysed using Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that digital transformation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, whilst digital competence does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Digital transformation also had no significant effect on adaptablity, whilst digital competence had a positive and significant effect on adaptablity. Furthermore, adaptablity had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the mediation test showed that adaptablity was unable to mediate the effect of digital transformation on employee performance, but was able to mediate the effect of digital competence on employee performance. These findings suggest that improvements in staff performance are influenced not only by the adoption of digital technology, but also by staff’s ability to adapt to change, underpinned by adequate digital skills.
