Abstract
INDONESIA:
Seiring bergantinya kurikulum pendidikan di Indonesia menjadi kurikulum 2013, sistem sekolah menjadi lebih ketat. Siswa yang tidak mampu menghadapi tekanan tersebut, dapat mengalami stres akademik. Hal tersebut tidak hanya terjadi pada siswa-siswi di sekolah formal pada umumnya, namun juga pada santri di pesantren modern yang menggunakan sistem pendidikan formal dan informal. Salah satunya adalah santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang. Mereka merasa jika waktu yang mereka miliki untuk belajar sangatlah terbatas dikarenakan jadwal kegiatan di pesantren yang padat sedangkan beban pelajaran yang harus mereka kuasai sangatlah banyak. Mereka mempersepsikan bahwa tekanan yang mereka hadapi adalah beban dan mereka merasa tidak mampu menghadapinya. Self-efficacy dan hardiness disebut sangat efektif untuk menghadapi stres. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) mengetahui tingkat self-efficacy santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang; 2) mengetahui tingkat hardiness santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang; 3) mengetahui tingkat stres akademik santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang; 4) mengetahui pengaruh dari self-efficacy dan hardiness terhadap stres akademik santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang.
Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif yang mana disajikan dalam bentuk angka-angka. Penelitian ini digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh dari variabel bebas yaitu self-efficacy dan hardiness dengan variabel terikat yaitu stres akademik. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang dengan jumlah sampel 54 santri yang diambil dari 25% jumlah populasi santri sebesar 214 santri. Dari hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa: 1) tingkat self-efficacy santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang adalah sedang dengan prosentase 72% yakni 36 santri; 2) tingkat hardiness santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang adalah tinggi dengan prosentase 64% yakni 32 santri; 3) tingkat stres akademik santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang adalah sedang dengan prosentase 78% yakni 39 santri; 4) terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara self-efficacy dan hadiness terhadap stres akademik santri kelas VII dan VIII Tsanawiyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ulum Putri Malang. Self-efficacy memberikan pengaruh sebesar 76% dan hardiness memberikan pengaruh sebesar 33,7% terhadap stres akademik santri.
ENGLISH:
Education curriculum in Indonesia has changed in 2013, those changes makes the system of school harder. Students who are not able to face the pressure will get academic pressure. This phenomenon happens not only to general formal school, it also happens to grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah (Junior High School) of Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang. They feel that they have limited time to study since they also have tight schedule in pesantren while at the same time they must handle many study materials. In their perception, they regard this pressur as a burden and they cannot face this situation. The writer is interested to see this situation as a thesis material. The writer wants to use self-efficacy and hardiness to deal with pressure. The aim of this study is: 1) to know the level of self-efficacy grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang; 2) to know the level of hardiness of grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang; 3) to know the level of academic pressure of grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang; 4) to know the influence of self-efficacy dan hardiness to academic pressure grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang
The writer uses quantitative method in which the result will be presented in number. This study is used to test the influence of free variable or self-efficacy and hardiness with bundled variable or academic pressure. Subject in this research is grade VII dan VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang. The number of the sample is 54 students, 25% of the total population of 214 students. The result of study shows that: 1) level of self-efficacy of grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang is medium with percentage level 72% or 36 santri; 2) level of hardiness of grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang is high with level percentage 64% or 32 santri; 3) level of academic pressure of grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang is medium with level percentage 78% or 39 santri; 4) there is negative significant correlation between self-efficacy and hardiness to academic pressure of grade VII and VIII students of Tsanawiyah Nurul Ulum Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang. Self-efficacy gives 76% and hardiness 33,7% influence to the students’ academic pressure.
