Abstract
INDONESIA:
Anak autisme mengalami permasalahan pada komunikasi, khususnya komunikasi non verbal. Kesulitan dalam komunikasi non verbal yang dialami oleh anak autis menjadikan mereka sukar untuk berinteraksi sosial dengan orang lain. Salah satu bagian komunikasi non verbal yang sulit ditunjukkan oleh anak autisme ialah ekspresi emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan terapi musik perkusi terhadap peningkatan frekuensi ekspresi emosi baik positif maupun negatif pada anak autis, serta mengetahui jenis ekspresi emosi yang dimunculkan saat terapi musik perkusi. Terapi musik perkusi bertujuan untuk membantu anak yang mengalami sindrom autisme dalam mengekspresikan emosinya, baik ekspresi emosi positif maupun ekspresi emosi negatif.
Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang anak autis yang sulit untuk mengekspresikan emosi dan telah didiagnosa oleh dokter serta pusat terapi. Subjek dipilih dengan menggunakan tehnik melalui purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara serta data rating scale. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode single case experimental design dengan desain A-B. Proses penelitian berlangsung selama 12 sesi, 5 sesi pada fase baseline (sebelum pemberian perlakuan) dan 7 sesi pada fase intervensi.
Berdasarkan hasil analisa data dengan menggunakan analisa statistika deskriptif dan analisa visual dalam kondisi, terapi musik perkusi mampu meningkatkan frekuensi ekspresi emosi pada anak autis. Ekspresi emosi yang ditunjukkan oleh subjek H ialah ekspresi emosi bahagia, senang, gembira, antusias, takut, marah, bingung dan kasihan. Sedangkan pada subjek P ekspresi emosi yang ditunjukkan ialah bahagia, senang, gembira, antusias, takut dan bingung.

Children with autism experience problems in the communication, especially in non-verbal communication. The difficulties in non-verbal communication are experienced by children with autism and make it difficult to interact with social. One part of non-verbal communication that is difficult to show by children with autism is the expression of emotion. This study aims at determining the roles of percussion music therapy toward an increased expression, both positive and negative emotions in children with autism, as well as knowing the type of emotional expression that was returned the percussion music therapy. Percussion music therapy aims at helping children who has autism syndrome in expressing emotions, both positive emotional expression and the negative emotions expression.
Subjects in this research amounted to two children with autism that were difficult to express the emotions and had been diagnosed by doctors and therapy center. It used purposive sampling technique. Data collected was through observation, interview and rating scale data. The method used a single case experimental design to the design of the A-B. The research process lasted in 12 sessions, 5 sessions were at baseline phase (prior to administration of treatment) and 7 sessions were in the intervention phase.
Based on the results of data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and visual analysis of the conditions, percussion music therapy could increase the expression of emotion in children with autism. The expression of emotions that had been generated after the intervention on the subject of H, it was the expression of emotions of happy, excited, enthusiastic, scared, angry, and confused and pity. While on the P subject of emotional expression that had been indicated was happy, enthusiastic, fear and confused.
