Abstract

ABSTRACT

Vocabulary is the important element in language, some of people will rise their language ability when their vocabulary increasingly because the efficiency of language ability of the people depends on the vocabulary that reserved by them.

The learning vocabulary needs the instrument or media to facilitate the student increasing the vocabulary of foreign language so that it have been an obligation for the teacher to understand how the using of the instrument of learning. In this research the researcher uses power point as a media.

The object of this research are:1) To know How do the using of power point to enrich the student vocabulary in the I’dadi class in Al-Jalaly Islamic dormitory? 2) To know How is the effectiveness of using power point to enrich the student vocabulary in the I’dadi class in Al-Jalaly Islamic dormitory?

The method that the researcher uses in this research is experimental research by using quantitative approach and it also divided into two group, the first is experimental group and the second is control group, meanwhile the instrument that used in gathering or collecting the data is test such as pre-test and post-test and also observation.

The results of this research can be summarized asfollows: 1) the application usesa power poin to ccurredin three sessions, the first meeting research hers gavethe testa pre-test, the research hers applied asecond meeting witht hetopicof learning vocabulary"color" using power point media, in the third meeting research hersgavet estsa post-test, while the resultsof the use of power point students are more enthusiastic and easy toremem bervocabulary.2) the application of power point is efectif than before.

Judging fromthe results ofpre-test xperimental classis 690 with a value of46% andpost-test results ofstudents' skills vocabulary learning get very good results 1280 dengan value of85.3%

Kosa kata merupakan elemen penting dalam bahasa, seseorang akan meningkat keterampilan berbahasanya jika bertambah pembendaharaan kasa katanya, karena keterampilan Bahasa seseorang tergantung pada kosa kata yang dikuasainya

Pembelajaran kosa kata memerlukan alat peragaan atau media untuk mempermudah siswa dalam memperkaya kosa kata Bahasa asing maka dari itu sudah seharusnya seorang guru bias mempergunakan media pembelajaran. Dalam hal ini peneliti menggunakan media power point.
