Pengaruh environmental, social, and governance ESG, dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap green invesment dimediasi oleh profitabilitas: Studi Pada Perusahaan Yang Terdaftar di IDX ESG Score tahun 2022-2024

Meningkatnya perhatian terhadap isu keberlanjutan mendorong perusahaan untuk tidak hanya berorientasi pada kinerja keuangan, tetapi juga pada penerapan prinsip Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) serta pengembangan investasi ramah lingkungan (green investment). Namun, implementasi green investment di Indonesia masih relatif terbatas dan dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor internal perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ESG dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap green investment dengan profitabilitas sebagai variabel mediasi pada perusahaan yang terdaftar dalam indeks IDX ESG Score.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari laporan tahunan, laporan keberlanjutan, dan skor ESG perusahaan yang terdaftar di IDX ESG Score selama periode 2022–2024. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 70 perusahaan yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi data panel dan analisis jalur (path analysis) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak EViews untuk menguji pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antarvariabel penelitian.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ESG dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap green investment. Selain itu, ESG dan ukuran perusahaan juga terbukti berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas. Profitabilitas memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap green investment serta mampu memediasi hubungan antara ESG dan ukuran perusahaan terhadap green investment. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa profitabilitas berperan penting dalam memperkuat pengaruh penerapan ESG dan karakteristik perusahaan terhadap keputusan investasi ramah lingkungan, sehingga mendukung pengembangan investasi berkelanjutan di Indonesia.

The growing concern for sustainability issues has encouraged companies to shift their focus from purely financial performance toward the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and the development of green investment. However, the level of green investment implementation in Indonesia remains relatively limited and is influenced by various internal corporate factors. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of ESG and company size on green investment, with profitability serving as a mediating variable among companies listed in the IDX ESG Score.
This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and ESG scores of companies included in the IDX ESG Score during the 2022–2024 period. The research sample consists of 70 companies selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis is conducted using panel data regression and path analysis with the assistance of EViews software to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the research variables.
The results indicate that ESG and company size have a significant effect on green investment. Furthermore, ESG and company size also significantly influence profitability. Profitability is found to have a significant effect on green investment and is able to mediate the relationship between ESG and company size on green investment. These findings suggest that profitability plays a crucial role in strengthening the impact of ESG implementation and firm characteristics on environmentally friendly investment decisions, thereby supporting the development of sustainable investment practices in Indonesia.

أدى الاهتمام المتزايد بقضايا الاستدامة إلى تشجيع الشركات على التركيز ليس فقط على الأداء المالي، ولكن أيضًا على تنفيذ مبادئ البيئة والمجتمع والحوكمة (ESG) وتطوير الاستثمار الأخضر. ومع ذلك، لا يزال تنفيذ الاستثمار الأخضر في إندونيسيا محدودًا نسبيًا ويتأثر بالعديد من العوامل الداخلية داخل الشركات. لذلك، تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل تأثير ESG وحجم الشركة على الاستثمار الأخضر مع الربحية كمتغير وسيط في الشركات المدرجة في مؤشر IDX ESG Score.
تستخدم هذه الدراسة نهجًا كميًا مع بيانات ثانوية تم الحصول عليها من التقارير السنوية وتقارير الاستدامة ودرجات ESG للشركات المدرجة في مؤشر IDX ESG Score خلال الفترة 2022-2024. تألفت عينة البحث من 70 شركة تم اختيارها باستخدام العينات المقصودة. تم إجراء تحليل البيانات باستخدام انحدار البيانات اللوحية وتحليل المسار بمساعدة برنامج EViews لاختبار التأثيرات المباشرة وغير المباشرة بين متغيرات البحث.
تظهر النتائج أن ESG وحجم الشركة يؤثران على الاستثمار الأخضر. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، وجد أن ESG وحجم الشركة يؤثران أيضًا على الربحية. للربحية تأثير كبير على الاستثمار الأخضر وهي قادرة على التوسط في العلاقة بين ESG وحجم الشركة على الاستثمار الأخضر. تشير هذه النتائج إلى أن الربحية تلعب دورًا مهمًا في تعزيز تأثير تنفيذ ESG وخصائص الشركة على قرارات الاستثمار الصديقة للبيئة، وبالتالي دعم تطوير الاستثمار المستدام في إندونيسيا.
