Abstract

INDONESIA:

ENGLISH:

Background: Hajj health services play an essential role in maintaining the physical and mental condition of pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage. The Indonesian Hajj Health Team (TKHI) provides comprehensive health education, services, and protection from the pre-departure phase to the return. Sociodemographic characteristics may influence pilgrims’ perceptions and responses to the services received; therefore, evaluating these responses is important to improve service quality. Objective: To assess the responses of hajj pilgrims to TKHI services and to analyze the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and the responses of Batu City pilgrims in 2025. Methods: This study employed an analytical quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 83 pilgrims selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire measuring cognitive, affective, and psychomotor responses. Spearman Rank analysis was used to examine the relationship between variables with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: Most pilgrims demonstrated a good response (88%) to TKHI services. Respondents were predominantly female (51.8%), within the full adult age range of 26–65 years (85.5%), and had higher education levels (63.9%). Spearman analysis showed that age, gender, and educational level all had p > 0.05, indicating no significant relationship between these sociodemographic variables and pilgrims’ responses to TKHI services. Correlation coefficients also indicated weak and insignificant associations. Conclusion: There was no relationship between age, gender, and educational level and the responses of hajj pilgrims to TKHI services in Batu City in 2025.
