Abstract

INDONESIA

Indonesia dikenal memiliki potensi alam yang besar. Namun, pemanfaatan sumber daya tersebut belum optimal; bahkan, beberapa sektor mengalami penurunan akibat kerusakan lingkungan. Dalam Al-Qur’an, Surah An-Nahl ayat 68–69 memuat pengetahuan tentang keistimewaan lebah dan madu bagi manusia. Ayat tersebut juga memuat perintah untuk menjaga alam, terutama ekosistem lebah.

Dalam sektor budidaya lebah madu, kondisi geografis Indonesia sangat berpotensi untuk menghasilkan berbagai produk. Namun, dibandingkan dengan negara-negara maju, potensi ini belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal dan belum ditunjang oleh kebutuhan produk perlebahan di masyarakat.
Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur melalui Dinas Kehutanan merencanakan pembangunan An-Nahl Science Techno Park di Desa Joho, Kabupaten Kediri. Kawasan ini dirancang sebagai pusat industri, riset dan pengembangan, edukasi, konservasi, serta wisata yang berfokus pada budidaya lebah madu.

Namun, pembangunan kawasan ini menimbulkan tantangan baru dalam perancangan. Lokasi yang berada di kawasan hutan menimbulkan isu lingkungan (keseimbangan alam), sedangkan jarak yang jauh dari pusat kota menimbulkan isu citra (daya tarik wisata). Pendekatan biomimikri, yang menjadikan alam sebagai model, tolok ukur, dan panduan, diterapkan dalam perancangan kawasan ini.

Diharapkan, An-Nahl Science Techno Park dapat meningkatkan inovasi, teknologi, dan edukasi di bidang budidaya lebah madu, sekaligus menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan. Program ini juga bertujuan meningkatkan ekonomi lokal, sektor pariwisata, dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap manfaat produk lebah, sehingga dapat mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi pada sektor tersebut.

Indonesia is known for its abundant natural potential. However, the utilisation of these resources remains suboptimal; in fact, several sectors have experienced decline due to environmental degradation. In the Qur’an, Surah An-Nahl verses 68–69 contain knowledge about the uniqueness of bees and honey for humankind, as well as divine instruction to care for nature, particularly the bee ecosystem.

Indonesia’s geographical conditions are highly suitable for the development of honeybee farming and related products. Nevertheless, compared to developed countries, this potential remains underutilised and is not yet supported by sufficient demand and awareness within society.

To address this issue, the East Java Provincial Government, through the Forestry Agency, has planned the development of An-Nahl Science Techno Park in Joho Village, Kediri Regency. This area is designed as a centre for industry, research and development, education, environmental integration, and tourism focused on honeybee cultivation.

However, the project presents new design challenges. Its forested location raises environmental concerns regarding ecological balance, while its distance from the city creates an issue of image and tourist appeal. A biomimicry approach, which positions nature as a model, measure, and mentor, is adopted in the site’s design strategy.

An-Nahl Science Techno Park is expected to enhance innovation, technology, and education in the field of honeybee cultivation, while maintaining ecological harmony. This programme also aims to boost the local economy, expand ecotourism, and increase public awareness of the benefits of bee-based products, thereby fostering sustainable economic growth in the sector.
