Case Grammar Case Grammar in the short story“Al Malikun Najjar” By Kamil Kailani Based On Charles J. Fillmore’s perspective

ABSTRACT

In a short story, the author certainly uses a good and correct language order to make it easier for readers to understand the contents of the carpen. Sometimes the writer also writes dialogs between characters in the storyline. These dialogues or narratives can be analyzed using Charles J Fillmore's theory which divides sentences into two kinds, namely modality and proposition. The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the forms of modality in the short story “AlMalikun Najjar” based on Charles J Fillmore's theory and (2) describe the forms of proposition in the short story “AlMalikun Najjar” based on Charles J Fillmore. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, which is a research method used to examine the condition of natural objects. where the researcher is the instrument. key. The data collection technique used is by recording and reading. Data were collected by means of: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) conclusion drawing. First, the data were carefully collected and recorded in the short story “Al-Malikun najjar”. The results of this study are: (1) the form of modality which consists of: Time modality, Adverbial modality, Negation modality, and (2) ten forms of propositions in the short story “Al-Malikun Najjar” which include aggressive cases, time cases, objective cases, location cases, experience cases, and instrument cases.

في القصة القصيرة، يستخدم الكاتب بالتأكيد ترتيباً لغوياً جيداً وصحيحاً ليسهل على القراء فهم محتويات القصة القصيرة. وأحياناً يكتب الكاتب أيضاً الحوار بين الشخصيات في القصة القصيرة. يمكن تحليل الحوار أو السرد باستخدام نظرية تشارلز جيه فيلمور التي تقسم الجمل إلى نوعين هما الأسلوب والاقتراح. والغرض من هذا البحث هو (1) وصف أشكال الأسلوب في القصة القصيرة "الملكون نجار" استناداً إلى نظرية تشارلز ج فيلمور و(2) وصف أشكال الاقتراح في القصة القصيرة "الملكون نجار" استناداً إلى نظرية تشارلز ج فيلمور. يستخدم هذا البحث المنهج الكيفي الوصفي، وهو منهج بحثي يستخدم للبحث في ظروف الكائنات الطبيعية، حيث يكون الباحث هو الأداة الرئيسية. أسلوب جمع البيانات المستخدم هو التسجيل والقراءة. تم جمع البيانات عن طريق: (1) جمع البيانات، (2) اختزال البيانات، (3) عرض البيانات، (4) استخلاص النتائج. أولاً، تم جمع البيانات وتسجيلها بعناية في القصة القصيرة "الملكون نجار". أما نتائج هذه الدراسة فهي (1) شكل الطرائق التي تتكون من: صيغة الزمان، وصيغة الظرفية، وصيغة النفي، و (2) عشرة أشكال من صيغ الاقتراحات في القصة القصيرة "الملكون نجار" وهي: الحالة العدوانية، والحالة الزمنية، والحالة الموضوعية، والحالة المكانية، والحالة الخبرية، والحالة الآلية.

ABSTRAK

Dalam sebuah cerpen, penulis tentu menggunakan tatanan bahasa yang baik dan benar untuk memudahkan pembaca memahami isi cerpen tersebut. Terkadang penulis juga menuliskan dialog antar tokoh dalam alur cerita. Dialog atau narasi tersebut dapat dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori Charles J Fillmore yang membagi kalimat menjadi dua macam, yaitu modalitas dan proposisi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk modalitas dalam cerpen "AlMalikun Najjar" berdasarkan teori Charles J Fillmore dan (2) mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk proposisi dalam cerpen "AlMalikun Najjar" berdasarkan teori Charles J Fillmore. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, yaitu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk meneliti pada kondisi objek yang alamiah, dimana peneliti adalah sebagai instrumen kunci. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan cara mencatat dan membaca. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara: (1) pengumpulan data, (2) reduksi data, (3) penyajian data, dan (4) penarikan kesimpulan. Pertama, data dikumpulkan dan dicatat dengan cermat dalam cerita pendek "Al-Malikun najjar". Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) bentuk modalitas yang terdiri dari: Modalitas waktu, Modalitas keterangan, Modalitas negasi, dan (2) sepuluh bentuk proposisi dalam cerpen "Al-Malikun Najjar" yang meliputi kasus agresif, kasus waktu, kasus objektif, kasus tempat, kasus pengalaman, dan kasus instrumen.
