Perbedaan tingkat depresi pada penderita Diabetes Millitus berdasarkan jenis kelamin di RSUD Sidoarjo

ABSTRAK

Depression represent one of psychosis that having high prevalensi and also psychological disorder which is universal in character؛ can be became of to whoever and almost each of individual at its life spans have suffered depression come up until the certain storey, but the expression different between the individual with others individually, this depression in fact have a lot of knocking over mankind, depression can arise at all the level of age and also happened its to man and woman too. The depression at Diabetes Millitus patients very go together about changing process in its life marked with the existence of physical retreating and also psychological This research has aim to know the level differences of depression at Diabetes Mellitus patients base on the sex in RSUD Sidoarjo.

The research device is weared by quantitative research, while the research type is used by quantitative research type of comparalional which has purpose to explain the difference of between research variables that the level of depression at Dibetes Millitus patients with the sex, and also testing the hypothesis which have been formulated previously by researcher that using the method analyse of data t٠test that is to test the existence of the level differences depression at Diabetes Mellitus patients with the sex, the population in this research were Diabetes Millitus patients in Poli Rawat .Jalan of RSUD Sidoarjo, the sampling technique was used by technique of random sampling by sampel 100 respondence (50 man and 50 woman), its data intake by using enquette method which is in the form of BDI scale (beck depression inventory).

The result from this research was taken by conclusion that the level of depression at Diabetes Millitus patient presented in namely low category by prosentase 8%, while from value 76% at middle category and 16% at high level. With the analysis result obtained by t = - 1,758, p = 0,078 level significant 0,05 its meaning there is no difference the level of depression at Diabetes Millitus patients base on the sex.
