Rancang bangun aplikasi sistem informasi akademik UIN Malang berbasis J2ME

ABSTRAK

Seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah mahasiswa setiap tahun, maka Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang selalu meningkatkan pelayananya dibidang akademik. Tidaklah sulit untuk menyediakan layanan akademik yang baik dengan di dukung oleh perkembangan teknologi. Salah satu teknologi yang bisa digunakan saat ini adalah teknologi mobile. Dengan adanya teknologi mobile maka dibangunlah aplikasi Sistem Akademik (Siakad) yang berbasis mobile. Pembuatan aplikasi Siakad Mobile ini menggunakan teknologi Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) dengan database MySQL dan PHP sebagai penghubung antara database dengan aplikasi. Dalam aplikasi ini, pengguna dapat melihat nilai KHS, mata kuliah yang belum terpilih, memprogram mata kuliah dan melihat jadwal mata kuliah yang telah dipilih. Dalam pemrograman mata kuliah, terdapat dua syarat yaitu jumlah sks (sistem kredit semester) tergantung dari indeks prestasi sebelumnya dan pemilihan kelas tidak boleh ada jadwal yang bentrok. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwa aplikasi Siakad mobile dapat digunakan oleh mahasiswa untuk pemrograman mata kuliah maupun konsultasi kepada Dosen Wali.

ABSTRACT

Along with the increasing number of the students every year, Maulana Malik Ibrahim Islamic State University of Malang tries to develop its services in the terms of academic affairs. Supporting by the development of technology, there is no difficulties to provide excellent academic services for the students. One of the technologies that can be used is mobile device. Using this mobile device technology, it can be built the academic information system (siakad) mobile device. This application is using Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME) with MySQL as its database and PHP as the connector of database and the application. Within this application, users can access their academic reports , unprogrammed subject and the subjects schedule. Besides, the students are abe to program the subjects based on two requirements. First is the amount of credits (linked with the GPA of previous semester). Second, when the students choose the classes, it supposed to be in line, not crashing. Based on the research result, it is known that Siakad Mobile Appication runs properly.
