Abstract
ABSTRAK
Tanaman Bandotan (Ageratum conyzoide Linn.) merupakan tanaman perdu yang tumbuh liar di sekitar masyarakat. Hal ini memicu dilakukannya penelitian untuk mengetahui aktivitas antifungi tertinggi pada ekstrak bandotan (Ageratum conyzoide Linn.) dalam fraksi metanol dan n-heksana terhadap perkecambahan spora Puccinia arachidis dan Phakopsora pachyrhizi serta mengidentifikasi golongan senyawa yang terkandung dalam ekstrak bandotan dalam fraksi metanol dan n-heksana.
Ekstraksi senyawa aktif dilakukan dengan metode maserasi dan aktivitas antifungi didasarkan pada nilai LC50. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak campuran fraksi metanol memiliki aktivitas antifungi tertinggi terhadap perkecambahan spora P. arachidis dan P. pachyrhizi dengan nilai LC50 83,8 ppm dan 38,4 ppm yang memiliki potensi sebagai antimikroba.
Hasil Identifikasi golongan senyawa aktif menggunakan uji fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak bandotan fraksi metanol mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, dan terpenoid. Fraksi n-heksana mengandung alkaloid, saponin dan terpenoid. Hasil identifikasi menggunakan FTIR menunjukkan bahwa isolat flavonoid mengandung gugus OH, C–H alifatik, C=O, C=C aromatis, CH2, CH3 bending, C–O, dan asam monokarboksilat.
ABSTRACT
Goat weed plants (Ageratum conyzoide Linn.) was a clump plants that grow wildly around society. This caused to conducted research to know the highest antifungal activity in goat weed plants extract (Ageratum conyzoide Linn.) within metanol fraction and n-hexane to spore germination of Puccinia arachidis and Phakopsora pachyrhizi and also to identification compound group that contained in goat weed plants extract within metanol fraction and n-hexane.
Extraction of active compound was conducted with maceration method and antifungal activity based on value of LC50. Result of research indicated that methanol fraction mixture extract have the highest activity of antifungal toward spore germination of P. arachidis and P. pachyrhizi with value of LC50 83,8 ppm and 38,4 ppm that have potential as antimicrobial.
Identification result of active compound group using phytochemical test indicated that methanol fraction of goat weed plants extract contained alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin, and terpenoid. N-Hexane fraction contained alkaloid, saponin, terpenoid, and steroid. Identification result using FTIR indicated that flavonoid isolate contained OH group, C-H aliphatic, C=O, C=C aromatic, CH2, CH3 bending, C-O, and monocarboxylic acid.
