Abstract
β ̂_1=(X_1i X_1i^T )^(-1) X_1i ln〖((1/(n X_1i^T ) ∑_(i=1)^n▒〖X_1i^T y〗_1i )/((1-∑_(i=1)^n▒〖X_1i^T y〗_1i ) )),〗
dan Y_2 yaitu
β ̂_2=(X_2i X_2i^T )^(-1) X_2i ln〖((1/(n X_2i^T ) ∑_(i=1)^n▒〖X_2i^T y〗_2i )/((1-∑_(i=1)^n▒〖X_2i^T y〗_2i ) )).〗
ABSTRACT
Logit regression is a regression analysis model with dependent variables (Y) that are categorical or binary. The development of logit regression whose dependent variable consists of two variables namely Y_1 and Y_2, and is a binary or category (value 0 or 1) is called a bivariate binary logit.
Because the dependent variable is binary, so in regression analysis it cannot use OLS. Therefore this study aims to estimate the regression of the bivariate logit model using the maximum likelihood method. The logit model is included in the non-linear equation, but in estimating it, it can be linearized by logging the likelihood function then obtaining the first derivative and equating it with zero, so the following results are obtained:
For Y_1 is
β ̂_1=(X_1i X_1i^T )^(-1) X_1i ln((1/(n X_1i^T ) ∑_(i=1)^n▒〖X_1i^T y〗_1i )/((1-∑_(i=1)^n▒〖X_1i^T y〗_1i ) )),
and Y_2 is
β ̂_2=(X_2i X_2i^T )^(-1) X_2i ln〖((1/(n X_2i^T ) ∑_(i=1)^n▒〖X_2i^T y〗_2i )/((1-∑_(i=1)^n▒〖X_2i^T y〗_2i ) )).〗
