ABSTRACT

The disaster which happens as the effect of PT Lapindo Brantas Inc. exploration in Porong Sidoarjo brings a great influences to every aspect of social life. It happens either in economic sides or social interaction of the victims. Especially, it takes place in Jatirejo, is the first village area had submerged of mud. Furthermore, the society who was living close to the area of outpouring hot mud had evacuated in the evacuation area that have been provided by the local government. The terrible condition faced by every victim in the area of evacuation. The most important issue is that the disaster influence to the harmony of household interaction, are husband and wife. In principle, the situation post hot mud disaster brings an impact to the harmony of household life. The discussed topic on this thesis is the effect of hot mud disaster to the household harmony and the Islamic civil law solution toward the case.

Furthermore, the researcher uses a qualitative approach with the type of research empirical law and descriptive research. The data collection is gathered from interview to the victims who are living in the evacuation area. Other data are gotten from the observation and documentation which is directly done by the researcher to the victims of hot mud disaster. Next, the data analysis used on the thesis is qualitative descriptive.

The result of analysis shows that almost the evacuated victim felt in disharmony in their household or family. It is caused of several weaknesses they posses. The limited chance to have an intense communication with the couple invites more complicated problem between them.

The conclusions of the research are the disharmony of household is caused by two factors they are lack of communication between the couple because of ineligibility of a temporary evacuation houses, lack of commitment. In addition the law solutions are 1). Relocating the victims of disaster to a better and more eligible place 2). Keeping maintaining an intense communication between the couple 3). Keeping a commitment 4). Being positive and patience in every situations
