Abstract
ABSTRAK
Matematika merupakan ilmu universal yang mendasari perkembangan teknologi modern, mempunyai peran penting dalam berbagai disiplin, dan mengembangkan daya pikir manusia. Prestasi belajar Matematika yang tinggi dapat diperoleh siswa dengan memiliki kecerdasan spiritual yang baik, karena kecerdasan spiritual merupakan kecerdasan tertinggi manusia yang mampu mensinergikan (mengintegrasikan) semua kecerdasan manusia, baik IQ, EI dan SI. Dalam hal ini peneliti menemukan permasalahan yang terjadi pada siswa kelas VIII MTsN Malang 2 yaitu siswa memiliki kecerdasan spiritual yang tinggi akan tetapi memiliki prestasi belajar Matematika yang rendah.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk mengetahui tingkat prestasi belajar Matematika siswa kelas VIII MTsN Malang 2, 2) Untuk mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan spiritual siswa kelas VIII MTsN Malang 2, 3) Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan spiritual dengn prestasi belajar Matematika siswa kelas VIII MTsN Malang 2.
Jenis pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTsN Malang 2 dengan jumlah populasi 119 siswa dan ukuran sampel sebanyak 30 siswa, pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara random sampling (sampel acak). Dalam teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala kecerdasan spiritual dan nilai prestasi belajar hasil ujian pemetaan akademik kelas VIII. Adapun metode analisis datanya dilakukan dengan teknik korelasi Product Moment dari Karl Pearson dengan menggunakan bantuan komputer program SPSS release 16.0 for windows.
Dari hasil analisis data ditemukan kecerdasan spiritual siswa kelas VIII MTsN Malang 2 masuk dalam kategori tinggi sebanyak 30 siswa dengan prosentase 100%. Adapun untuk prestasi belajar Matematika didapatkan tiga kategori. Pada kategori tinggi terdapat 3 siswa dengan prosentase 10%, pada kategori sedang sebanyak 5 siswa atau 16,67% dan pada kategori rendah sebanyak 22 siswa atau 73,33%. Dari hasil analisis korelasi product moment dengan menggunakan SPSS 16.00 for windows didapatkan rxy = 0,235; sig = 0,211 > 0,05., artinya tidak ada hubungan antara kecerdasan spiritual dengan prestasi belajar Matematika siswa kelas VIII MTsN Malang 2.
ABSTRACT
Mathematic is universal science that underlies the development of modern technology, it has significant role in any discipline of sciences, and develops human though capacity. High mathematic learning achievement can be got by the students because they have good spiritual intelligence. Since spiritual intelligence is the highest intelligence of human kind which is able to integrate all of the human intelligences, IQ, EQ, SQ. In this case, the researcher found a problem happened on eighth grade students of Islamic State Junior High School 2 Malang. The problem is students who have high spiritual intelligence, but they have low mathematic learning achievement.
The aims of this research are: 1) to know the level of mathematic learning achievement on eighth grade students of Islamic State Junior High School 2 Malang, 2) to know the level of spiritual achievement on eighth grade students of Islamic State Junior High School 2 Malang, 3) to know the correlation between spiritual intelligence and mathematic learning achievement on eighth grade students of Islamic State Junior High School 2 Malang.
Type of approach that the research used is quantitative method. This research was done in Islamic State Junior High School 2 Malang. The population number of this research is 119 students and the sample is 30 students, and the researcher took the sample by using random sampling. In technique of data withdrawal, the researcher used spiritual intelligence scale and score of learning achievement from academic test on eighth grade students. While the data analysis was done by using correlation product moment from Karl Pearson by using SPPSS program released 16.0 for windows.
Based on the data analysis, the researcher found that the spiritual intelligence level of eighth grade students of Islamic State Junior High School 2 Malang is 100 %, it means that all of the students have spiritual intelligence. Whereas, for the mathematic learning achievement, the researcher found three categories. High category consists of 3 students by having 10 %, while category consists of 5 students by having 16, 67 % and low category consists of 22 students by having 73, 33%. Based on the result of correlation product moment analysis by using SPSS program 16.00 for windows, the research got rxy = 0,235; sig = 0,211 > 0,05., it means that there is no significant relation between spiritual intelligence and mathematic
