Abstract
ABSTRAK
PT. Yamaha Electronics Manufacturing Indonesia merupakan perusahaan Jepang yang bergerak dalam bidang speaker system manufacturing. Perusahaan ekspor ini mengkhususkan diri memproduksi Speaker Home Theatre, HiFi Speaker System merk YAMAHA yang menggunakan bahan dasar kayu dan sukses diekspor ke USA, Eropa, Jepang, dan Negara-negara lainnya.
Seiring dengan berkembangnya zaman, semakin banyak muncul pesaing-pesaing dalam industri yang sejenis. Agar dapat bertahan dalam persaingan, perusahaan ini harus memiliki keunggulan kompetitif yaitu dengan jalan menggunakan seluruh sumber daya yang dimilikinya secara efektif dan efisien. Banyak cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk menjadikan sumber daya tersebut efektif dan efisien, salah satunya adalah dengan memelihara SDM yang dimiliki melalui motivasi kerja. Pemberian motivasi kerja dapat dilakukan pihak manajemen dengan memperhatikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi itu sendiri, yaitu faktor intrinsik (motivation factor) dan faktor ekstrinsik (maintenance factor). Sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang memiliki motivasi kerja yang tinggi diduga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas perusahaan.
Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivation factor dan maintenance factor tarhadap motivasi kerja karyawan bagian produksi di PT. Yamaha Electronics Manufacturing Indonesia.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif eksplanatori. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan produksi di PT. Yamaha Electronics Manufacturing Indonesia dan pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan teknik non probability random sampling sebesar 25% dari jumlah populasi yang ada pada bagian produksi. Adapun proses pengambilan data dengan menggunakan angket skala Likert, dilengkapi dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan SPPS versi 15.00 for windows.
Dari hasil analisis regresi linier berganda terlihat bahwa sepuluh variabel bebas terdapat delapan variabel bebas yang berpengaruh terhadap variabel terikat. Masing- masing variabel bebas (prosentase pengaruh) tersebut adalah achievement (11%), recognition (4.3%), the work it self (6.9%), responsibility (5.7%), quality supervisor (7.8%), Interpersonal relation (11.7%), working condition (11.4%) dan wages (32,5%). Motivation factor memberikan sumbangan sebesar 27.9% terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan, sedangkan maintenance factor memberikan sumbangan yang cukup besar yaitu 63.4 % terhadap motivasi karyawan.
ABSTRACT
PT. Yamaha Electronics Manufacturing Indonesia is a Japanese company which is engaged in manufacturing the speaker system. This export company specializing producing Speaker Home Theatre, HiFi Speaker System Yamaha brands that use natural wood base and successfully exported to USA, Europe, Japan and other countries.
Along with the development of age, more and more competitors appear in similar industries. In order to survive in the competition, this company must have a competitive advantage is by way of using all its resources effectively and efficiently. Many ways can be done to make these resources effectively and efficiently, one of which is to maintain its human resources through work motivation. Provision of work motivation to do the management by taking into account the factors that influence the motivation itself, namely the intrinsic factors (motivation factors) and extrinsic factors (maintenance factors). Human resources (HR) who have high work motivation can increase company productivity.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of motivation factor and the maintenance factor for employee motivation of production department at PT. Yamaha Electronics Manufacturing Indonesia.
This study used quantitative methods with descriptive explanatory type of research. The population in this study are all production employees at PT. Yamaha Electronics Manufacturing Indonesia and taking samples using a non probability random sampling technique of 25% of the total population is on the production employee. As for the retrieval of data using a Likert scale questionnaire, complemented by interviews, observation, and documentation. Test validity and reliability of the instrument performed using SPPS version of 15.00 for windows.
From the results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that ten independent variables there are eight independent variables that influence the dependent variable. Each independent variable (the percentage of influence) is achievement (11%), recognition (4.3%), the work it self (6.9%), responsibility (5.7%), quality supervisors (7.8%), Interpersonal relations (11.7% ), working condition (11.4%) and wages (32.5%). Motivation factors provide a contribution of 27.9% on employee motivation, while the maintenance factor that contributed large enough that 63.4% of employee motivation.
