Abstract

INDONESIA:

Karakter komunikatif sangat penting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap peserta didik. Pembentukan karakter komunikatif ini bertujuan supaya siswa mampu memahami ketika berkomunikasi dengan orang lain melalui bahasa lokal maupun asing dan mampu memberikan respons perilaku maupun sikap yang baik sesuai dengan akhlakul karimah.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan pembentukan karakter komunikatif siswa melalui program we can speak four languages di SD Nahdlatul Ulama’ Kota Pasuruan, (2) Mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan problematika dan solusi dalam pembentukan karakter komunikatif siswa melalui program we can speak four languages di SD Nahdlatul Ulama’ Kota Pasuruan, dan (3) Mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan impilikasi dalam pembentukan karakter komunikatif siswa melalui program we can speak four languages di SD Nahdlatul Ulama’ Kota Pasuruan.

Untuk mencapai tujuan di atas, digunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif jenis penelitian deskriptif. Instrumen kunci adalah peneliti sendiri, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi data yang tidak relevan, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan trianggulasi dan member check.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Pembentukan karakter komunikatif siswa melalui program we can speak four languages dapat dilihat dari komunikatif secara verbal dan komunikatif secara nonverbal menggunakan beberapa strategi, seperti merencanakan, mengorganisasikan dan evaluasi setiap kegiatan, (2) Problematika dalam pembentukan karakter komunikatif siswa melalui program we can speak four languages yaitu siswa itu sendiri, siswa merasa malu kurang percaya diri dengan kemampuannya, rendahnya minat bahasa arab siswa, lingkungan kurang mendukung dalam berbahasa arab. Solusinya adalah lingkungan sekolah harus mendukung dan kerjasama yang baik antara guru dengan wali murid, dan (3) Implikasi dalam pembentukan karakter komunikatif siswa melalui program we can speak four languages yaitu a) bagi sekolah, meningkatkan mutu sekolah dan kepercayaan masyarakat pada SD Nahdlatul Ulama’ Kota Pasuruan; b) bagi keluarga, semua anggota keluarga bisa salimg belajar; dan c) bagi masyarakat, anak-anak menjadi bisa bertutur kata bahasa jawa krama inggil di masyarakat dan kemampuan berbahasa jawa anak-anak menjadi seimbang dengan bahasa lain.

ENGLISH:

Communicative character is very important for every student to have. The formation of this communicative character aims to make students able to understand when they communicate with others through local and foreign languages and be able to respond to good behavior and attitudes in accordance with the morality of the mercy.

The purpose of this study is to: (1) Describe and explain the formation of communicative characters of students through the we can speak four languages program at Elementary School of Nahdlatul Ulama’ Pasuruan, (2) Describe and explain the problems and solutions in the formation of students' communicative characters through the we can speak four languages program at Elementary School of Nahdlatul Ulama’ Pasuruan, and (3) Describe and explain the impilication in forming communicative characters of students through the we can speak four languages program at at Elementary School of Nahdlatul Ulama’ Pasuruan.

To achieve the above objectives, qualitative research approaches of this type of research are used. The key instruments are the researchers themselves, the data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed by reducing irrelevant data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data using triangulation and member check.

The results showed that, (1) The formation of communicative characters of students through the we can speak four languages program can be seen from verbal communication and nonverbal communicative using several strategies, such as planning, organizing and evaluating each activity, (2) Problems in forming students' communicative characters through the program we can speak four languages namely the students themselves, students feel ashamed of lack of confidence in their abilities, the low interest in the Arabic language of students, the environment is less supportive in speaking Arabic. The solution is that the school environment must support and good cooperation between teachers and guardians of students, dan (3) Implications in the formation of communicative characters of students through the we can speak four language program namely a) for schools, improving school quality and community trust in the Elementary School of Nahdlatul Ulama’ Pasuruan; b) for families, all family members can study together; c) for the community, children become able to speak Javanese Krama Inggil words in the community and children's Javanese language skills become balanced with other languages.
