Abstract
INDONESIA:
ENGLISH:
Soursop (Annona muricata Linn.) is a family of Annonaceae that grows in the tropics which is beneficial in pharmacology as an anticancer. Soursop leaves contain acetogenin compounds that can inhibit the growth of cancer cells. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of separation of acetogenin compounds in soursop leaf extract by thin layer chromatography (TLC) based on the type of solvent and extraction time of ultrasonic.
The extraction of acetogenin compounds by ultrasonic with various solvents including methanol, ethanol, and ethyl acetate as well as variations in extraction time of 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes. Separation of the acetogenin compound using eluent are ethyl acetate: n-hexane eluent (4: 6). Identification of the functional groups of the best TLC results using FTIR.
The results showed that the biggest yield was obtained from ethanol solvents. TLC test results obtained the same number of suspected acetogenin spot, there was one spot on each variation of the solvent. In addition, the TLC test showed that the best separation with the highest color intensity and the greatest resolution was in ethanol solvent with extraction time of 10 minutes. The results of identification of suspected acetogenin isolates with FTIR showed functional groups in the form of OH, C-H, C = O, C = C, and C-O.
