Abstract
INDONESIA:
Buah Kurma memiliki kandungan senyawa polifenol yang merupakan antioksidan. Antioksidan dapat menanggulangi radikal bebas dengan transfer atom hidrogen. Rhodamin B merupakan senyawa pemicu radikal bebas yang dapat merusak tubulus ginjal dengan mempengaruhi proses reabsorbsi sehingga terjadinya inflamasi yang menyebabkan penebalan epitel dan diameter lumen tubulus ginjal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak buah kurma (Phoenix dactylifera L.) sebagai antioksidan terhadap penebalan epitel dan diameter lumen tubulus ginjal mencit betina yang dipapar rhodamin B dan mengetahui Effective Dose 50 (ED50) ekstrak buah kurma yang dapat mempengaruhi penebalan epitel dan diameter lumen tubulus ginjal mencit betina yang dipapar rhodamin B. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan 25 mencit betina yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok negatif diberikan rhodamin B 0,08mg/25gBB, kelompok positif diberikan rhodamin B 0,08mg/25gBB dan vitamin C 1,3mg/25gBB, kelompok perlakuan (P1) diberikan rhodamin B 0,08mg/25gBB dan esktrak buah kurma 1,75mg/25gBB, kelompok perlakuan (P2) ) diberikan rhodamin B 0,08mg/25gBB dan esktrak buah kurma 3,5mg/25gBB dan kelompok perlakuan (P3) ) diberikan rhodamin B 0,08mg/25gBB dan esktrak buah kurma 7mg/25gBB dengan perlakuan dilakukan setiap hari selama 15 hari. Hasil aktivitas ekstrak buah kurma diamati dari histologi tubulus ginjal mencit berupa penebalan epitel tubulus dan diameter tubulus ginjal dengan melakukan analisa menggunakan ANOVA dengan dilanjutkan uji Tukey p=<0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemberian ekstrak buah kurma secara signifikan (p<0,05) mampu mengatasi variabel penebalan epitel tubulus ginjal dengan menunjukan pengecilan penebalan epitel tubulus. Ekstrak buah kurma menunjukan hasil secara signifikan (p<0,05) pada variabel diameter lumen tubulus ginjal dengan menunjukan peningkatan ukuran diameter lumen. Dengan demikian pemberian ekstrak buah kurma dapat memberikan hasil perbaikan pada epitel dan lumen tubulus ginjal dengan pengaruh ED50 pada ekstrak buah kurma sebesar 2,54mg/25gBB.

Dates contain polyphenols which are antioxidants. Antioxidants can overcome free radicals by transferring hydrogen atoms. Rhodamin B is a free radical trigger compound that can damage the renal tubules by affecting the process of reabsorption so that the occurrence of inflammation that causes thickening of the epithelium and diameter of the renal tubular lumen. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of date palm fruit extract (Phoenix dactylifera L.) as an antioxidant against the thickening of the epithelium and lumen diameter of the kidney tubules of female mice exposed to rhodamine B and also to know the effective dose 50 (ED50) extract of dates that can affect the thickening of the epithelium and diameter of the kidney tubules of mice exposed to rhodamine B. The study was conducted utilizing 25 female mice divided into 5 groups which the negative group was given rhodamine B 0.08mg/25gBW, the positive group was given rhodamine B 0.08mg/25gBW and vitamin C was 1.3 mg/25gBW, the treatment group (P1) was given rhodamine B 0.08mg/25gBW and 1.75mg / 25gBW date extract, treatment group (P2) were given rhodamine B 0.08mg / 25gBW and 3.5mg/25gBW of date extract and treatment group (P3) were given rhodamine B 0.08mg/25gBW and 7mg/25gBW of date extract with the treatment carried out every day for 15 days. The result of date extract activity was observed from the kidney tubules histology of mice in the form of thickening of the tubular epithelium and also kidney tubules diameter by analyzing using ANOVA followed by the Tukey test p=<0,05. The results show that the application of date extracts significantly (p<0.05) can overcome the variable tubular epithelial thickening by showing reduced tubular epithelial thickening. Also, date extract shows significant results (p<0.05) on the lumen diameter of the kidney tubules by showing an increase in the size of the lumen diameter. Therefore, the application of date palm fruit extracts can provide improved results in the epithelium and lumen of the kidney tubules with the effect of ED50 on 2.54mg / 25gBW of date palm extracts.
