Abstract
INDONESIA:
Bulu ayam memiliki kandungan protein tinggi sehingga berpotensi untuk dijadikan material baru. Pada penelitian ini bulu ayam dimanfaatkan untuk pembuatan material Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) dengan metode Chemical exfoliation, menggunakan larutan aquades dan HCl (0.5, 1, 1.5 dan 2 M). Bulu ayam dipanaskan dalam dua tahap yaitu temperatur 250oC dan pemanasan pada temperatur 400oC. Proses eksfoliasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan ultrasonic cleaner. Hasil XRD menunjukkan bahwa sampel memiliki fasa karbon jenis rGO. Sampel yang dieksfoliasi menggunakan aquades memiliki jarak antar layer (d) terkecil (3.53 Å), ukuran kristalit (Lc) terbesar (20.08 Å) serta memiliki konduktivitas listrik 7.29×〖10〗^(-6) S/cm, kapasitansi area 1.29×〖10〗^(-11) 〖S/cm〗^2 dengan energi gap direct 5.74 eV dan indirect 4.7 eV. Sedangkan sampel yang dieksfoliasi menggunakan HCl 2 M memiliki Lc terkecil (17.33 Å), nilai d sebesar 3.52 Å dan memiliki sifat listrik lebih rendah dari sampel yang dieksfoliasi menggunakan aquades.
ENGLISH:
Chicken feathers have a high protein content so that it has the potential to be used as new material. In this study, chicken feathers were used for the manufacture of material Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) with Chemical exfoliation method, using a solution of distilled water and HCl (0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 M). Chicken feathers are heated in two stages: 250oC and heating at 400oC. The exfoliation process is carried out using an ultrasonic cleaner. The XRD results show that the sample has an RGO type carbon phase. Samples that were exfoliated using distilled water have the smallest distance between layers (d) (3.53 Å), the largest crystallite size (Lc) (20.08 Å) and have electrical conductivity of 7.29×〖10〗^(-6) S/cm, capacitance area 1.29×〖10〗^(-11) 〖S/cm〗^2 with direct gap energy of 5.74 eV and indirect 4.7 eV. Whereas samples which were exfoliated using 2 M HCl had the smallest Lc (17.33 Å), d values of 3.52 Å and had lower electrical properties than samples exfoliated using aquades.
