Abstract
INDONESIA:
Impostor phenomenon merupakan fenomena yang terjadi ketika seseorang merasa telah menipu orang lain, dirinya bukan seperti apa yang terlihat, merasa kurang memiliki kapabilitas, kepandaian, dan mengatribusikan kesuksesan pada faktor eksternal, seperti keberuntungan, penampilan, hingga bantuan orang lain. Ada banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya fenomena ini diantaranya adalah tingkat self-esteem dan academic hardiness. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh self-esteem dan academic hardiness terhadap impostor phenomenon.
Impostor phenomenon adalah sebuah pengalaman psikologis yang meyakini bahwa prestasi yang dicapai bukan karena kemampuan pribadi, melaikan keberuntungan, bekerja keras dibandingkan orang lain, atau merasa telah memberikan kesan yang palsu terhadap orang lain. Self-esteem adalah penilaian umum tentang diri sendiri yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan diri, memiliki sesuatu yang bernilai, dan bernilai dalam pandangan orang lain. Academic hardiness adalah kepribadian yang mengacu pada ketahanan siswa terhadap tuntutan dan tekanan akademik.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah subjek 291 yang terdiri dari 84 laki-laki dan 208 peremppuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian menggukana tiga skala yaitu Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS), Copersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI), dan18-item academic hardiness scale (18-item AHS). Analisis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh self-esteem dan academic hardiness terhadap impostor phenomenon.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tingkat impostor mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang, yaitu sebesar 74.9%, tingkat self-esteem mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang, yaitu sebesar 50.9%, dan tingkat academic hardiness berada pada kategori sedang, yaitu sebesar 59.5%. Secara simultan self esteem dan academic hardiness memberikan pengaruh 32.7% terhadap terjadi impostor phenomenon di kalangan mahasiswa.

Impostor phenomenon is a phenomenon that occurs when someone feels they have deceived someone else, he is not what he looks like, feels he lacks capability, intelligence, and attributes success to external factors, such as luck, appearance, to the help of others. There are many factors that influence the occurrence of this phenomenon including the level of self-esteem and academic hardiness. Therefore, the hypothesis of this study is that there is an effect of self-esteem and academic hardiness on the impostor phenomenon.
The purpose of this study is 1) to determine the level of impostor phenomenon of the students of the Psychology Faculty of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, 2) to determine the level of self-esteem of the students of the Psychology Faculty of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, 3) to determine the academic hardiness level of students Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Faculty of Psychology, and 4) to find out the effect of self-esteem and academic hardiness on the phenomenal impostor of the students of the Faculty of Psychology at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
This study uses a quantitative approach method with 291 subjects consisting of 84 males and 208 females. Data collection techniques in this study were using purposive sampling technique. Research data collection included three scales, namely the Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS), the Copersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI), and 18-item academic hardiness scale (18-item AHS). The analysis carried out in this study was descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was an effect of self-esteem and academic hardiness on the impostor phenomenon.
The results of the analysis show that the student impostor level is in the moderate category at 74.9%, the level of student self-esteem is in the moderate category at 50.9%, and the academic hardiness level is in the moderate category, at 59.5%. Simultaneously, self-esteem and academic hardiness have an influence of 32.7% on the occurrence of impostor phenomenon among students.
