Abstract
INDONESIA:
Sejatinya pendidikan bertujuan untuk menjadikan peserta didik mampu secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Namun tujuan mulia tersebut bertolak belakang dengan keadaan nyata di lapangan. Langkah sangat tepat dalam memperbaiki kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia, adalah dengan memberlangsungkan pendidikan karakter yang tak terkecuali di pondok pesantren.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk : (1) Mengetahui strategi kyai dalam menumbuhkan nilai-nilai karakter santri di Pondok Pesantren Riyadlul ‘Ulum Wadda’wah Kota Tasikmalaya. (2) Mengetahui pelaksanaan strategi kyai dalam menumbuhkan nilai-nilai karakter santri melalui Organisasi Santri Pesantren Condong (OSPC). (3) Mengetahui hasil pelaksanaan strategi kyai dalam menumbuhkan nilai-nilai karakter santri melalui Organisasi Santri Pesantren Condong (OSPC).
Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah kualitatif berjenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan melaksanakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Saat data terkumpul penulis menggunakan analisa deskriptif kualitatif yaitu model Miles dan Huberman. Serta untuk mengecek keabsahan data, menggunakan teknik ketekunan pengamatan dan triangulasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Strategi yang dilakukan oleh kyai untuk menumbuhkan nilai-nilai karakter santri di Pondok Pesantren Riyadlul ‘Ulum Wadda’wah Kota Tasikmalaya yaitu: keteladanan, penanaman disiplin, pembiasaan, dan integrasi dengan ektrakurikuler (kepengurusan OSPC). (2) Proses pelaksanaan penumbuhan nilai-nilai karakter santri melalui Organisasi Santri Pesantren Condong (OSPC) di Pondok Pesantren Riyadlul ‘Ulum Wadda’wah Kota Tasikmalaya, dilakukan melalui pengertian, keteladanan, penanaman disiplin, pembiasaan, dan pengkondisian yang kondusif untuk menumbuhkan karakter santri. (3) Hasil Penumbuhan Karakter Santri Melalui Organisasi Santri Pesantren Condong (OSPC) dikatakan berhasil, sehingga lulusannya mampu memiliki pemikiran dan perbuatan yang sesuai dengan indikator keberhasilan pendidikan karakter yang dirumuskan oleh Kementrian Pendidikan Nasional.
ENGLISH:
True education aims to make students able to actively develop their potential to have spiritual spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by themselves, society, nation and country. But these noble goals contradict the real situation in the field. A very appropriate step in improving the quality of education in Indonesia, is to hold character education which is no exception in Islamic boarding schools.
The research was conducted with the aim of: (1) Knowing the kyai's strategy in fostering the values of the character of the santri at the Riyadlul ‘Ulum Wadda’wah Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya City. (2) Knowing the implementation of the clerics' strategy in fostering the values of santri characters through the Condong Islamic Boarding School Organization (OSPC). (3) Knowing the results of the Kyai's strategy in fostering the values of santri characters through the Condong Islamic Boarding School Organization (OSPC).
The research approach used by researchers is a qualitative descriptive type. Data collection techniques are carried out by carrying out observations, interviews, and documentation. When the data collected the authors used qualitative descriptive analysis, namely the Miles and Huberman models. And to check the validity of the data, using perseverance observation and triangulation techniques.
The results showed that: (1) The strategy carried out by the clerics to foster the values of the character of the santri at the Riyadlul ‘Ulum Wadda’wah Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya namely: exemplary, planting discipline, habituation and integration with extracurricular (OSPC management). (2) The process of implementing the values of santri characters through the Condong Islamic Boarding School Organization (OSPC) at the Riyadlul ‘Ulum Wadda’wah Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya City, is carried out through understanding, exemplary discipline and conditioning conducive to fostering santri character. (3) Results of Growth of Santri Characters Through Condong Islamic Boarding School Organization (OSPC) are said to be successful, so that graduates are able to have thoughts and actions that are in accordance with the indicators of the success of character education formulated by the Ministry of National Education.
