Persepsi masyarakat terhadap konservasi Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Amprong di Kecamatan Poncokusumo Kabupaten Malang

Masyarakat Kecamatan Poncokusumo Kabupaten Malang menggunakan air sungai untuk keperluan sehari-hari. Pemanfaatan tersebut baik digunakan untuk air minum, MCK, dan lain-lain. Air yang digunakan masyarakat Kecamatan Poncokusumo berasal dari air Sungai Amprong yang dialirkan ke sekitar pemukiman warga setempat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui persepsi masyarakat Kecamatan Poncokusumo terhadap konservasi daerah aliran Sungai Amprong dan mengetahui kualitas air Sungai Amprong berdasarkan Perda No. 02 Tahun 2008 Tentang Pengelolaan Kualitas Air dan Pengendalian Pencemaran Air.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluatif yang menggabungkan antara penelitian fisik dan sosial. Penelitian fisik dilakukan dengan menguji kualitas air Sungai Amprong dengan parameter kunci BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), TSS (Total Suspended Solid) dan total koliform. Penelitian secara sosial dilakukan dengan cara wawancara terstruktur (Structured Interview) dan wawancara semi-terstruktur (Semi-Structured Interview) dalam keterlibatan masyarakat mengenai pemanfaatan dan konservasi sumber daya air Sungai Amprong. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melakukan survei. Alat bantu yang digunakan berupa lembar wawancara.

Hasil observasi dan wawancara terhadap persepsi masyarakat terhadap konservasi daerah aliran Sungai Amprong bahwasanya masyarakat Kecamatan Poncokusumo memanfaatkan air Sungai Amprong untuk irigasi, MCK, rekreasi, budidaya dan lain-lain. Masyarakat Kecamatan Poncokusumo masih banyak yang membuang limbah domestik ke aliran Sungai Amprong, dikarenakan jarak rumah dan aliran Sungai Amprong yang dekat dan masyarakat tidak mempunyai lahan untuk tempat pembuangan limbah domestik. Partisipasi masyarakat Kecamatan Poncokusumo dalam menjaga aliran Sungai Amprong cukup baik dibuktikan dengan keikutsertaan masyarakat dalam membersihkan aliran Sungai Amprong yang diprogramkan oleh setiap Kepala Desa setempat. Menurut Perda. No. 02 Tahun 2008 Tentang Pengelolaan Kualitas Air dan Pengendalian Pencemaran Air berdasarkan parameter total koliform stasiun I tergolong mutu air kelas II, stasiun II dan III tergolong maku mutu kelas III. Berdasarkan parameter BOD5 stasiun I, II dan III tergolong baku mutu air kelas III. Berdasarkan parameter COD5 stasiun I dan II tergolong baku mutu air kelas II, setasiun III tergolong baku mutu air kelas III. Berdasarkan parameter TSS stasiun I tergolong baku mutu air kelas I, stasiun II dan III tergolong baku mutu air kelas III.

The people of Poncokusumo Subdistrict, Malang Regency, use river water for their daily needs. These uses are good for drinking water, showering, washing, toilet, and others. The water used by the Poncokusumo District community comes from the Amprong River water which is channeled around the local residents' settlements.The purpose of this study was to determine the use of river water and community perceptions on the conservation of Amprong watershed (DAS) and the water quality of the Amprong River.

This research is an evaluative research that combines physical and social research. Physical research is carried out by testing the quality of river water Amprong with key parameters BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), TSS (Total Suspended Solid) dan total coliform. Social research is done by structured interviews and semi-structured interviews in community involvement regarding the use and conservation of Amprong River water resources. This research was conducted by conducting a survey. The tool used was an interview sheet.

The results of observations and interviews on community perceptions of the conservation of the Amprong River basin that Poncokusumo District community utilizes Amprong River water for irrigation, MCK, recreation, cultivation and others. Many people in Poncokusumo Subdistrict still throw domestic waste into the Amprong River, due to the distance of the house and the Amprong River flow which is close and the community does not have land for domestic waste disposal. Community participation in Poncokusumo District in maintaining the Amprong River flow is quite well proven by the community's participation in cleaning up the Amprong River flow programmed by each local Village Head. According to the law. No. 02 of 2008 concerning Management of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control based on the total parameters of station I coliform classified as class II water quality, stations II and III belong to class III quality. Based on BOD5 parameters, stations I, II and III belong to class III water quality standards. Based on the COD5 parameters of stations I and II classified as class II water quality standards, station III is classified as class III water quality standard. Based on TSS station I parameters classified as class I water quality standards, stations II and III are classified as class III water quality standards.
