Abstract
INDONESIA:
Bekatul merupakan hasil samping tanaman padi yang mengandung antioksidan. Antioksidan tersebut mampu menetralisir radikal bebas dengan cara melindungi sel beta pankreas terhadap peningkatan Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) pada kondisi hiperglikemia. Reactive Oxigen Species (ROS) dapat menyebabkan stress oksidatif yang ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya kadar MDA (Malondyaldehide) di dalam tubuh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak etanol 96% bekatul dalam menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dan MDA pada hati mencit yang diinduksi aloksan dengan dosis 200 mg/Kg BB. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara invivo. Ekstrak etanol bekatul menggunakan metode maserasi. Selanjutnya ekstrak etanol 96% bekatul akan diterapikan pada mencit selama 14 hari. Variasi dosis yang digunakan yaitu 350 mg/Kg BB, 400 mg/Kg BB dan 500 mg/Kg BB. Pengukuran kadar glukosa darah dilakukan dengan metode enzimatis menggunakan glucometer DR pada hari ke-1, ke-4, ke-8 dan ke-15. Pengukuran kadar MDA menggunakan metode TBARS (Test thiobarbituric acid-reactive substance). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dosis terbaik ekstrak etanol 96% bekatul yang mampu menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dan kadar MDA adalah dosis 400 mg/Kg BB.

Bran is a product of rice plants containing antioxidants. These antioxidants are able to neutralize free radicals by means of pancreatic beta cells to protect against an increase in Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in the condition of hyperglycemia. Reactive Oxigen Species (ROS) can cause oxidative stress, indicated by increasing the levels of MDA (Malondyaldehide) in the body. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of ethanol 96% bran extract in lowering blood glucose levels and MDA on the hearts of mice induced with a dose of aloksan 5, 04mg/20 g BB. The research was done on invivo. Ethanol extracts of bran using the method of maceration. Next 96% ethanol extracts of bran would be therapy on mice for 14 days. Variations in the doses used 9.8 mg/20 g BB, 11.2 mg/20 g BB and 14 mg/20. Measurement of blood glucose levels is done by using the enzimatis method of the glucometer DR on 1st,4th, 8th and 15thday. Measurement of the levels of MDA using method of TBARS (thiobarbituric acid-reactive Test substance). Based on the results of the research of the best dose of ethanol 96% bran extract that is capable of lowering blood glucose levels and the levels of MDA is a dose of 400 mg/Kg.
