Abstract
INDONESIA:
Kunyit Putih (Curcuma longa L) dan Buah Pare (Momordica charantia L) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang digunakan sebagai obat tradisional karena memiliki banyak manfaat dan mengandung metabolit sekunder. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri kombinasi ekstrak etanol 96 % pada kunyit dan pare dan untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa aktif yang terkandung dalam ekstrak Kunyit putih dan Pare.
Uji Aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Kunyit Putih dan Pare diekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol 96% menggunakan metode maserasi. Formulasi Ekstrak yaitu pare:kunyit putih (1:1; 1:2; 2:1). Identifikasi metabolit sekunder menggunakan reagen. Variasi konsentrasi ekstrak yaitu 5%; 25%; 35%; 50%; dan 65%.
Kombinasi ekstrak terbaik pada formulasi pare:kunyit yaitu 1:2 pada konsentrasi 65%. Diameter zona hambat terhadap bakteri Staphyococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli masing-masing 12,4 dan 8,6 mm. Hasil identifikasi metabolit sekunder dengan reagen ekstrak positif senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, dan triterpenoid. Uji two way anova menunjukkan variasi kombinasi ekstrak dan variasi konsentrasi mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli.

White turmeric (Curcuma longa L) and Bitter Melon (Momordica charantia L) is one of the plants that are commonly used as traditional medicine who have many benefits and secondary metabolites. The purposes of the research were to know the antibacterial activity of 96% ethanol extract combination on turmeric and bitter extract against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, and to know the class of active compound in white turmeric extract and Bitter melon extract.
White Turmeric and Bitter Melon were extracted by 96% ethanol solvent using maceration method. Single extract and combination were with comparation pare:white turmeric were 1:1; 1:2; 2:1. Identification of secondary metabolites used reagents. Single and combination extracts tested for antibacterial activity with variation concentration of 5%; 25%; 35%; 50%; and 65% use disck difution. Secondary metabolites in combination extracts that had the greatest antibacterial activity.
The best combination of extracts in comparison of 1:2 at concentration 65%. The diameters of inhibition zone for Staphyococcus aureus and Escherichia colli bacteria were 12.4 and 8.6 mm. The results of secondary metabolite identification with reagent showed ethanol extract of 96% and contained alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, and triterpenoid.
