Abstract
INDONESIA:
Nanas (Ananas comosus L) merupakan tanaman yanng sering dijumpai di Indonesia. Masyarakat sering memanfaatkan buah nanas sebagai kebutuhan pangan. Pada dasarnya, masyarakat hanya memanfaatkan bagian buahnya saja, bagian kulit hanya terbuang menjadi limbah tak terpakai. Bagian kulit nanas mengandung flavonoid dan tanin yang memiliki kemampuan sebagai fotoprotektor dari sinar UV. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sediaan sebagai tabir surya digunakan sistem mikroemulsi sebagai sistem penghantaran zat aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi ekstrak kulit buah nanas dalam sediaan mikroemulsi yang dapat memberikan efek tabir surya melalui uji in vitro nilai SPF. Formulasi ini menggunakan ekstrak kulit buah nanas dengan berbagai konsentrasi yaitu 5%, 10%, 15% dan 20%. Parameter yang diamati pada penelitian ini antara lain orgnoleptik, pH, freeze-thaw, tipe mikroemulsi, ukuran partikel, viskositas dan nilai SPF sediaan secara in vitro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan mikroemulsi ekstrak kulit buah nanas memberikan hasil yang sesuai dengan spesifikasi dan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak kulit buah nanas tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap nilai SPF sediaan mikroemulsi dengan hasil F1 sebesar 2,0294, F2 sebesar 2,1391, F3 sebesar 2,9322 dan F4 sebesar 3,7759. Semua formula masuk kedalam tipe proteksi minimal.

Pineapple (Ananas comosus L) is one of a plants that very common in Indonesia. People often use pineapple as a comestibles. Basically, people used the fruit part only and threw the skin part or the outside part, then, it became a waste. Many people do not know that the pineapple’s skin contains flavonoids and tannins which had an ability as a photo-protector from UV rays. To improve the ability of the form as a sunscreen, micro-emulsion was used as an active substance delivering system. This research intended to know the variation concentration impact of pineapple’s skin extract in micro-emulsion form that gave sunscreen effect by using in vitro test of SPF value. This formula used pineapple’s skin extract with various concentration from 5%, 10%. 15%, and 20%. In this research, the parameter that was observed such as organoleptic, pH, freeze-thaw, micro-emulsion type, particle size, viscosity, and SPF value form on in vitro. Moreover, the result shown that the form of micro-emulsion of pineapple’s skin extract gave result that suitable with the specification and variation which gave no impact towards the SPF value micro-emulsion form, F1 was 2,0294, F2 was 2,1391, F3 was 2,9322, and F4 was 3,7759. In conclusion, all of the formula are included to minimal protection type.
