Kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas IX MTs dalam menyelesaikan masalah kontekstual berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan matematika

Kemampuan literasi numerasi merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika maupun kehidupan sehari-hari, terutama dalam memahami dan menyelesaikan permasalahan kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas IX MTs dalam menyelesaikan soal kontekstual pada materi bangun ruang kubus dan balok berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan matematika siswa, yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 20 siswa kelas IX F MTs Negeri 7 Malang. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan matematika, dipilih tiga siswa sebagai subjek utama penelitian yang mewakili kategori kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes kemampuan matematika, tes kemampuan literasi numerasi berupa soal kontekstual, serta wawancara mendalam. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui teknik triangulasi. Instrumen penelitian utama peneliti dibantu dengan tes literasi numerasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi mampu memahami konteks permasalahan, mengidentifikasi informasi yang diketahui dan ditanyakan, menentukan konsep serta rumus yang sesuai, dan menyelesaikan perhitungan secara sistematis hingga memperoleh jawaban yang tepat sesuai konteks. Siswa dengan kemampuan matematika sedang telah mampu memahami permasalahan dan menentukan konsep yang digunakan, namun masih mengalami kesalahan pada tahap perhitungan dan penafsiran hasil akhir. Sementara itu, siswa dengan kemampuan matematika rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami informasi penting, menentukan konsep yang relevan, serta melakukan proses perhitungan sehingga jawaban yang diperoleh belum tepat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memberikan gambaran mengenai kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan matematika serta dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang mendukung peningkatan literasi numerasi siswa.

Numeracy literacy ability is one of the important competencies in mathematics learning and daily life, especially in understanding and solving contextual problems. This study aims to describe the numeracy literacy ability of grade IX MTs students in solving contextual problems on the material of cube and cuboid geometry based on the students' mathematical ability levels, namely high, medium, and low. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects consisted of 20 grade IX F students of MTs Negeri 7 Malang. Based on the results of the mathematical ability test, three students were selected as the main subjects of the study representing the high, medium, and low ability categories. Data collection techniques were carried out through mathematical ability tests, numeracy literacy ability tests in the form of contextual questions, and in-depth interviews. Data validity was obtained through triangulation techniques. The main research instruments of the researcher were assisted by numeracy literacy tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.

The results indicate that students with high mathematical ability are able to understand the context of the problem, identify known and requested information, determine appropriate concepts and formulas, and systematically complete calculations to obtain correct answers within the context. Students with moderate mathematical abilities are able to understand problems and determine the concepts used, but still experience errors at the calculation and interpretation stages of the final results. Meanwhile, students with low mathematical abilities have difficulty understanding important information, determining relevant concepts, and carrying out calculation processes so that the answers obtained are not correct. This research contributes to providing an overview of students' numeracy literacy abilities based on their level of mathematical ability and can be a consideration for teachers in designing learning that supports increasing students' numeracy literacy.

تُعدّ مهارات الحساب أساسية في تعلّم الرياضيات والحياة اليومية، لا سيما في فهم وحلّ المسائل السياقية. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف مهارات الحساب لدى طلاب الصف التاسع في المدرسة الإعدادية الإسلامية في حلّ المسائل السياقية المتعلقة بالمكعبات ومتوازيات المستطيلات، وذلك بناءً على مستويات قدراتهم الرياضية: عالية، ومتوسطة، ومنخفضة. استخدمت الدراسة منهجًا نوعيًا وصفيًا. شملت عينة الدراسة٢٠ طالبًا من طلاب الصف التاسع في المدرسة الإعدادية الإسلامية رقم ٧ في مالانج، بناءً على نتائج اختبار القدرات الرياضية، تم اختيار ثلاثة طلاب كعينة رئيسية، يُمثّلون فئات القدرات العالية والمتوسطة والمنخفضة. تم جمع البيانات من خلال اختبارات القدرات الرياضية، واختبارات مهارات الحساب والقراءة والكتابة في شكل أسئلة سياقية، ومقابلات معمقة. وتم التحقق من صحة البيانات باستخدام تقنيات التثليث. واستعان الباحث في أدواته البحثية الرئيسية باختبارات مهارات الحساب والقراءة والكتابة، والمقابلات، والوثائق. وتم تحليل البيانات عبر مراحل اختزال البيانات، وعرضها، واستخلاص النتائج.

تشير النتائج إلى أن الطلاب ذوي القدرات الرياضية العالية قادرون على فهم سياق المسألة، وتحديد المعلومات المعروفة والمطلوبة، وتحديد المفاهيم والصيغ المناسبة، وإجراء العمليات الحسابية بشكل منهجي للوصول إلى إجابات صحيحة ضمن السياق. أما الطلاب ذوو القدرات الرياضية المتوسطة، فهم قادرون على فهم المسائل وتحديد المفاهيم المستخدمة، لكنهم ما زالوا يواجهون أخطاءً في مرحلتي الحساب وتفسير النتائج النهائية. في المقابل، يواجه الطلاب ذوو القدرات الرياضية المنخفضة صعوبة في فهم المعلومات المهمة، وتحديد المفاهيم ذات الصلة، وإجراء العمليات الحسابية، مما يؤدي إلى عدم صحة الإجابات التي يحصلون عليها. يُسهم هذا البحث في تقديم نظرة عامة على قدرات الطلاب في مجال الحساب بناءً على مستوى قدراتهم الرياضية، ويمكن أن يكون مرجعًا للمعلمين في تصميم مناهج تعليمية تدعم تعزيز مهارات الطلاب في الحساب
