Abstract
INDONESIA:
Hakim memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam memutus perkara secara adil dan objektif di tengah tekanan profesi yang tinggi. Kondisi tersebut menjadikan
psychological well-being penting dimiliki hakim agar mampu menjaga stabilitas psikologis dalam menjalankan tugas peradilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengalaman psychological well-being hakim se-Malang Raya, faktor-faktor yang mendukungnya, serta implikasinya terhadap kinerja peradilan dan pengambilan keputusan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari lima orang hakim di wilayah Malang Raya.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik coding untuk
menemukan tema-tema utama penelitian.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa psychological well-being hakim terbentuk melalui kemampuan menghadapi tekanan profesi sekaligus memaknai pekerjaan sebagai bentuk amanah dan pengabdian. Faktor pendukung terdiri dari faktor internal berupa spiritualitas, integritas, profesionalitas, dan kemampuan beradaptasi, serta faktor eksternal berupa dukungan keluarga, hubungan kerja, dan kondisi kelembagaan. Selain itu, psychological well-being berimplikasi terhadap kinerja peradilan dan pengambilan keputusan, di mana hakim yang memiliki kesejahteraan psikologis yang baik cenderung lebih fokus, objektif, teliti, dan mampu menjaga independensi dalam memutus perkara.
ENGLISH:
Judges have a great responsibility to adjudicate cases fairly and objectively amidst high professional pressures. These conditions make psychological well-being essential for judges to maintain psychological stability while performing their judicial duties. This study aims to understand the experiences of psychological well-being among judges in the Malang Raya region, the factors supporting it, and its implications for judicial performance and decision-making.
This study employs a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method. The research subjects consist of five judges in the Malang Raya region. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis utilized coding techniques to identify the main themes of the study.
The results indicate that judges’ psychological well-being is shaped by their ability to cope with professional pressures while viewing their work as a form of trust and service. Supporting factors include internal factors such as spirituality, integrity, professionalism, and adaptability, as well as external factors such as family support, workplace relationships, and institutional conditions. Furthermore, psychological well-being has implications for judicial performance and decision-making, as judges with good psychological well-being tend to be more focused, objective, meticulous, and capable of maintaining independence in adjudicating cases.
