Analisis pemanfaatan koleksi institutional repository mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik menggunakan teori Thompson

Pada penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya pemanfaatan koleksi repositori oleh mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan koleksi Repository Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik dengan teori dari Thompson yang memiliki indikator intensitas penggunaan, frekuensi penggunaan, dan jumlah yang digunakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebesar 50 responden dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Responden penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang menggunakan Repositori Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik. Hasil penelitian pada intensitas penggunaan diketahui mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan koleksi repository telah menggunakan fitur pencarian dan unduhan dalam memanfaatkan koleksi di repository. Pernyataan lama waktu dalam memanfaatkan repository sangat sedikit karena berdasarkan hasil kuesioner menunjukkan banyak respon netral dari mahasiswa, rata-rata mahasiswa memanfaatkan koleksi di repository kurang dari 1 jam. Pada frekuensi penggunaan diketahui melalui pengguna memanfaatkan koleksi repository karena mudah diakses. Pernyataan mengetahui ketersediaan koleksi melalui promosi banyak mahasiswa yang menyatakan netral artinya sebagian mahasiswa tidak mengetahui informasi mengenai ketersediaan koleksi repository. Kemudian dalam mengukur jumlah yang digunakan diketahui melalui tanggapan mahasiswa yang memiliki tanggapan positif yaitu merasa puas dengan koleksi yang tersedia di repository karena berdasakan hasil kuesioner menunjukkan banyak respon setuju dari mahasiswa.

The impetus for this study was the underutilization of the repository collection by students at Muhammadiyah University Gresik. The objective of this study is to ascertain the utilization of the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik repository collection by employing Thompson's theory, encompassing indicators of usage intensity, frequency, and the number of items employed. The research method employed is a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample size of this study consists of 50 respondents, who were selected using purposive sampling. The research respondents were students who used the Muhammadiyah University of Gresik Repository. The research results on usage intensity revealed that students utilized the repository collection by using the search and download features. The statement regarding the time spent utilizing the repository was minimal, as the questionnaire results showed many neutral responses from students, with an average of less than one hour spent utilizing the repository collection. In terms of the frequency of utilization, it was determined that the repository collection is employed by users due to its ease of access. With regard to the awareness of the availability of the collection through promotional activities, a considerable number of students exhibited neutral responses, indicating that a proportion of students were not cognizant of the information concerning the accessibility of the repository collection. A survey was conducted to assess the utilization of the repository. The results indicated that students exhibited a favorable response, signifying their satisfaction with the collections available in the repository. This finding was corroborated by the survey's questionnaire, which revealed a substantial number of respondents who concurred with the statement.

هذا البحث في سياق ضعف استفادة طلاب جامعة محمدية جريسيك من مجموعات المستودع المؤسسي. ويهدف البحث إلى معرفة مدى استفادة الطلاب من مجموعات مستودع جامعة محمدية جريسيك استنادا إلى نظرية طومسون التي تتضمن مؤشرات كثافة الاستخدام، وتكرار الاستخدام، وعدد المواد المستخدمة. نوع البحث في هذا البحث يعنى المنهج الكمي الوصفي. بلغ حجم العينة 50 مستجيبا، وتم اختيار العينة باستخدام أسلوب العينة القصدية. وكان المستجيبون هم الطلاب الذين يستخدمون مستودع جامعة محمدية جريسيك .وأظهرت نتائج هذا البحث من حيث كثافة الاستخدام أن الطلاب قد استخدموا خاصيتي البحث والتنزيل للاستفادة من المجموعات في المستودع. أما بخصوص مدة الاستخدام، فقد كانت قليلة جدًا، حيث أظهرت نتائج الاستبانة أن كثيرًا من الطلاب أجابوا إجابة محايدة، وكان متوسط مدة استفادة الطلاب من المجموعات في المستودع أقل من ساعة واحدة. ومن حيث تكرار الاستخدام، تبين أن المستخدمين يستفيدون من المجموعات لأن الوصول إليها سهل. وفيما يتعلق بمعرفة توافر المجموعات من خلال الترويج، أشار كثير من الطلاب إلى موقف محايد، مما يدل على أن بعضهم لا يعلم بوجود معلومات عن توافر المجموعات في المستودع. وأخيرا، في قياس عدد المواد المستخدمة، أظهرت إجابات الطلاب مواقف إيجابية حيث شعروا بالرضا عن المجموعات المتوفرة في المستودع، إذ بيّنت نتائج الاستبانة أن كثيرا منهم أجابوا بالموافقة.
