Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1)Untuk mengetahui hasrat Tokoh Nujood pada Novel Saya Nujood, Usia 10 dan Janda Karya Nujood Ali dan Delphine Minoui, (2)Untuk mendeskripsikan hasrat Tokoh Nujood pada Novel Saya Nujood, Usia 10 dan Janda Karya Nujood Ali dan Delphine Minoui dalam perspektif psikologi hasrat Jacques Lacan.

Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Dalam prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan pelaku yang dapat diamati. Penelitian kualitatif mengkaji berupa kata-kata tertulis maupun lisan dan tidak bersifat angka-angka. Langkah-langkah dalam teknik pengumpulan data adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Membaca secara cermat novel Saya Nujood, Usia 10 dan Janda Karya Nujood Ali dan Delphine Minoui, (2) Memahami isi novel yang telah dibaca dan berkaitan erat dengan masalah penggunaan konjungsi pada novel, (3) Pengklasifikasian data berdasarkan fokus penelitian, (4)Menguji keabsahan data, Dari hasil penelitian hasrat Tokoh Nujood pada Novel Saya Nujood, Usia 10 dan Janda Karya Nujood Ali dan Delphine Minoui, dapat disimpulkan bahwa yang medorong hasrat tokoh Nujood adalah ketakutan atas pernikahan dan kebahagiaan atas perceraian.
