Abstract
Mengetahui gaya belajar siswa sangatlah penting untuk meningkatkan prestasi akademik maupun non akademik anak. Menurut Bobbi DePorter banyaknya kegagalan siswa mencerna informasi dari gurunya disebabkan oleh ketidaksesuaian gaya mengajar guru dengan gaya belajar siswa. Sebaliknya, apabila gaya mengajar guru sesuai dengan gaya belajar siswa, semua pelajaran akan terasa sangat mudah dan menyenangkan. Guru juga senang karena punya siswa yang semuanya cerdas berpotensi untuk sukses pada jenis kecerdasan yang dimilikinya. Kesesuaian gaya belajar anak dalam menangkap informasi memiliki hubungan erat terhadap kecerdasan majemuk yang anak miliki.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan gaya belajar dan multiple intelligences apa saja yang dimiliki oleh siswa berprestasi kelas IV dan V di Kota Malang. Kemudian menjelaskan hubungan antara gaya belajar dengan multiple intelligences siswa berprestasi kelas IV dan V di SD/ MI di Kota Malang.
Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian korelasional yaitu mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan multiple intelligences siswa berprestasi kelas IV dan V SD/ MI di Kota Malang (MIN Malang 2, SDN Kauman 1, dan SDN Purwantoro 1) dengan sampel sluruh siswa kelas IV dan V sebanyak 150 siswa, kemudian untuk mengetahui hubungan kedua variabel hanya membutuhkan 96 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, nilai raport UAS semester ganjil dan data siswa berprestasi masing-masing sekolah. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah product moment yaitu mencari hubungan gaya belajar dengan multiple intelligences siswa berprestasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rhitung dari hubungan tipe gaya belajar visual, auditorial, dan kinestetik terhadap multiple intelligences lebih besar dari rtabel (0,783; 0,806; dan 0,757) untuk N= 96 pada taraf signifikansi 5% sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan multiple intelligences siswa berprestasi kelas IV dan V SD/ MI di Kota Malang artinya siswa memiliki tipe kecerdasannya masing-masing karena sesuai gaya belajar yang mereka miliki.
Jadi dapat disimpulkan, peneliti menemukan tidak hanya 3 gaya belajar melainkan ada 3 gaya belajar gabungan lainnya yaitu Visual Auditorial, Visual Kinestetik dan Auditorial Kinestetik. Dan peneliti juga menemukan tidak hanya 2 tipe kecerdasan yang siswa miliki, bahkan sampai 5 tipe kecerdasan. Kemudian dari dua variabel memiliki hubunganyang signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan multiple intelligences siswa berprestasi kelas IV dan V SD/ MI di Kota Malang.
Knowing the student's learning style is important to improve academic and non academic achievement of children. According to Bobbi DePorter many failures of students digest the information from the teacher due to the teacher's teaching style mismatches with the student's learning style. Conversely, if the teaching style of teachers according to the student's learning style, all lessons will be very easy and fun. Teachers are also happy to have students who are all intelligent potential to succeed on the kind of intelligence what the have. Conformity child's learning style in capturing the information has a close relationship to the multiple intelligences that children have.
The purpose of this study was to explain the learning styles and multiple intelligences what was owned by outstanding of students of grade IV and V in Malang (MIN Malang 2, SDN Kauman 1, and SDN Purwantoro 1). Then it explained the relationship between learning styles with multiple intelligences of students achieved of grade IV and V in SD / MI in Malang.
This research was correlational research that was to determine whether there was a significant relationship between learning styles on the multiple intelligences of students achieving of grade IV and V SD / MI in Malang (MIN Malang 2, SDN Kauman 1, and SDN Purwantoro 1) with a sample all of fourth grader and fifth as many as 150 students, and then to determine the relationship between the two variables only taken 96 students. Methods of data collection used questionnaires, the value of the first semester report cards and data UAS outstanding students of each school. Data analysis technique used the product moment that was looking for a relationship to the learning style student achievement against multiple intelligences
The results showed that r count of relationship types learning styles of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic against multiple intelligences greater than r table (0.783; 0.806; and 0.757) for N = 96 at the significance level of 5% so H0 rejected and H1 received meant that there was a relationship which significant between learning styles on the multiple intelligences of students achieving of grade IV and V SD / MI in Malang that meant students had each type of intelligence because it fits their learning style.
So it can be concluded, researcher found not only three learning styles, but there were three other learning style, namely visual auditory, auditory and Visual Kinesthetic. And the researcher also found not only two types of intelligence that students had, even up to 5 types of intelligence. Then the two variables had a significant relationship between learning styles on the multiple intelligences of students achieving of grade IV and V SD / MI in Malang.
