Needs are a condition marked by a sense of deficiency and a desire to obtain something that is manifested through effort or action. In its fulfillment, humans must adapt themselves to existing priorities, because these are influenced by several factors. The reason the researcher only took three characters in the object of this research is because these three characters appear the most in the story. Ali Hussein is the main character in the short story, while little Ali and Aya are companion characters whose presence is very influential for Ali Hussein in playing his character. This study aims to describe the psychological needs of the characters of Ali Hussein, Aya and Little Ali and identify ways to fulfill the psychological needs of the characters of Ali Hussein, Aya and Ali Kecil according to Abraham Maslow's theory of Humanistic Psychology. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data sources short story by Abdulhadi Ashim Muhammad entitled “Millionaire for a limited time (Chocolate with hazelnuts) and writings related to research. Kebutuhan yaitu suatu keadaan yang ditandai oleh rasa kekurangan dan keinginan atas didapatkannya sesuatu yang perwujudannya melalui usaha atau tindakan. Dalam pemenuhannya, manusia itu harus menyesuaikan dirinya dengan prioritas yang ada, karena hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor . Penelitian ini dibuat bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud psikologi kebutuhan tokoh Ali Hussein, Aya dan Ali kecil dan mengidentifikasi cara pemenuhan psikologi kebutuhan tokoh Ali Hussein, Aya dan Ali kecil menurut teori Psikologi Humanistik Abraham Maslow. Alasan peneliti hanya mengambil tiga tokoh dalam objek penelitian ini adalah karena ketiga tokoh tersebut paling banyak muncul dalam cerita. Ali Hussein termasuk tokoh utama dalam cerpen, sedangkan Ali kecil dan Aya adalah tokoh pendamping yang kehadirannya sangat berpengaruh bagi Ali Hussein dalam memerankan karakternya tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data cerpen karya Abdulhadi Ashim Muhammad yang berjudul “Milyunir Lifatroti Mahdudah (Syukulatah bil Bunduqi)” dan tulisan-tulisan yang berkaitan dengan penlitian. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan baca dan catat. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, analisis data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ditemukan bahwa tokoh Ali Hussein telah mencapai lima tingkat kebutuhannya, sedangkan tokoh Ali hanya mencapai tiga tingkatan kebutuhan saja, yaitu kebutuhan fisiologis, rasa aman dan harga diri dan tokoh Aya sebagai kekasih Ali Hussein hanya mencapai dua tingkatan yaitu, kebutuhan fisiologis dan rasa cinta dan memiliki.
