Post power syndrome pada mantan pemimpin organisasi mahasiswa intra kampus Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang

Post power syndrome pada umumnya dialami oleh orang-orang yang tadinya memiliki kekuasaan atau memangku jabatan, dan setelah tidak menjabat lagi mengalami gejala-gejala kejiwaan atau emosi yang tidak stabil dan bersifat negatif. Rumusan dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana bentuk post power syndrome yang ditunjukkan oleh mantan pemimpin organisasi mahasiswa intra kampus, bagaimana pemahaman mantan pemimpin tentang post power syndrome, dan bagaimana mantan pemimpin menyikapi post power syndromenya.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi post power syndrome mantan pemimpin organisasi mahasiswa intra kampus. Post power syndrome yang dimaksud adalah adanya sikap masih berkuasa meskipun sudah tidak menjabat sebagai pemimpin lagi. Secara fisik individu yang mengalami post power syndrome akan tampak lebih lesu, malas, dan lemas. Dari segi emosi individu akan merasakan putus asa, kecewa, dan perasaan negatif lainnya. Secara perilaku individu akan lebih sering bercerita tentang masa kepemimpinannya dan membanding-bandingkan dengan pemimpin yang baru dan lebih sering marah.

Penelitian ini mengambil subyek mantan pemimpin organisasi mahasiswa intra kampus UIN Maliki Ibrahim Malang. Penelitin ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengambilan data observasi partisipan dan wawancara mendalam.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dikatehui bentuk post power syndrome pada diri subyek yaitu, dari segi fisik terihat lebih lesu, lemas, dan malas. Dari segi emosi subyek merasa kosong, kecewa, dan kesal, sedangkan dari segi perilaku subyek suka mengkritik, kesal ketika nasihatnya diabaikan, dan suka bercerita tentang masa kepemimpinannya dan membandingkan dengan kepemimpinan yang baru. Subyek mengetahui bahwa telah terjadi perubahan secara fisik, emosi, dan perilaku pada dirinya setelah tidak menjabat lagi sebagai pemimpin. Secara fisik lebih malas, dan santai, secara emosi ada perasaan kosong, juga perasaan kecewa dan kesal terhadap kepemimpinan yang baru, sedangkan perubahan perilakunya yaitu suka memberikan nasihat dan kesal apabila diabaikan nasihatnya, dan senang menceritakan masa lalunya ketika menjadi pemimpin dan membandingkan dengan kepemimpinan yang baru. Dalam menyikapi perubahan yang telah terjadi tersebut, subyek membiarkannya saja karena subyek memiliki keyakinan bahwa perasaan tersebut akan hilang dengan sendirinya.

Post power syndrome is generally experienced by people who previously had the power or taking office, and after serving no longer experiencing symptoms of mental or emotional instability and negative. The formulation of this research is how to shape a post power syndrome demonstrated by the former leader of intra-campus student organizations, how understanding the former leader of the post-power syndrome, and how the former leader addressing post power syndrome.

This study aims to explore the post-power syndrome former leader of intra-campus student organizations. Post power syndrome in question is the attitude still ruling even though it was not served as a leader again. Physically, individuals who experience post power syndrome appears more lethargic, lazy, and weak. In terms of individual emotions will feel despair, disappointment, and other negative feelings. In the behavior of individuals will more often talked about his tenure and to compare with the new leaders and more often angry.

This study takes the subject of the former leader of intra-campus student organizations UIN Maliki Ibrahim Malang. This research is conducted using a qualitative approach to data collection methods of participant observation and in-depth interviews.

Based on the research results form of post-power syndrome on the subjects themselves that, in terms of physical more lethargic, weak and lazy. The subject felt emotionally empty, frustrated, and annoyed, while in terms of the behavior of the subjects love to criticize, annoyed when his advice is ignored, and likes to tell of his tenure and compare with the new leadership. The subjects know that there has been a change in the physical, emotional, and behavioral after they no longer hold himself as a leader. Physically more lazy, and relaxing, there is a feeling emotionally empty, also feeling disappointed and upset to the new leadership, while the change in behavior that is like giving advice and upset when ignored his advice, and glad to tell his past when a ruler and comparing with leadership new. In addressing the changes that have occurred, let alone the subject because the subject has confidence that these feelings will disappear by it self.
