Abstract

INDONESIA :

Madrasah dapat dipandang sebagai salah satu lembaga pendidikan Islam alternative dan unggul dalam konteks dinamika perubahan sosial khususnya madrasah di pesantren. Meskipun demikian, secara realita madrasah di pesantren masih termasuk lembaga yang termarjinalkan, dengan kompleksitas permasalahan yang dihadapi termasuk kualitas daya saing output yang rendah dibandingkan dengan sekolah formal umum, dan ketertinggalan teknologi. Dari sinilah revitalisasi madrasah di pesantren harus dilakukan dengan upaya pengembangan madrasah unggul di pesantren sehingga bisa mewujudkan madrasah unggulan yang akan melahirkan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kapabiltas dalam penguasaan pengetahuan dan teknologi yang dijiwai oleh nilai-nilai luhur keagamaan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan serta menganalisis manajemen pengembangan madrasah unggul berbasis pesantren yang di terapkan di Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Darul ‘Ulum, dengan menetapkan 3 fokus tentang program unggulan yang dicanangkan, strategi Pengembangan dan evaluasi Pengembangan madrasah unggul berbasis pesantren yang dilakukan oleh Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Darul ‘Ulum Jombang.Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma interpretive/post positivistic dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dicapai dengan (1) wawancara mendalam, (2) observasi partisipan, dan (3) studi dokumen. Adapun sumber data penelitian ini terdiri dari primer dan skunder. Data yang terkumpul dari ketiga metode pengumpulan data tersebut dianalisis untuk mendapatkan temuan penelitian.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: manajemen pengembangan madrasah unggul berbasis pesantren meliputi beberapa tahapan yaitu; 1) program unggulan yang dicanangkan MA Unggulan Darul ‘Ulum ada tiga program yaitu; (1) pengembangan riset integratif, (2) Penerapan Tradisi Keilmuan Pesantren dan (3) Program tahfidz al-Qur’an. Selanjutnya Strategi yang dilakukan madrasah aliyah unggulan Darul ‘Ulum dalam melakukan pengembangan madarasah unggul berbasis pesantren meliputi beberapa langkah yaitu; Pengembangan Kurikulum Integratif, Pengembangan bakat dan minat, Pengembangan dan pengelolaan SDM, penataan dan pengelolaan administrasi dan yang terakhir dikembangkan adalah pengembangan sarana dan prasarana yang representatif. selanjutnya, untuk evaluasi pengembangan madrasah unggul berbasis pesantren dilakukan dengan 3 langkah yaitu; analisis program, monitoring dan kontrol dan yang terakhir adalah dengan menyusun laporan tertulis berdasar hasil analisis yang dilakukan.

ENGLISH :

Islamic school (Madrasah) is viewed as one of the alternatives of Islamic Education Institution, beside of it has an excellence in dynamic-social change context, it especially the Islamic school which is located in Islamic boarding school. Even so, in fact, the school which is located in Islamic boarding school is usually kind of marginalized-educated institution, with all of its complexity-problems that must be faced including low technologies, lack of output competitive quality than as a usual formal school. By those statements, revitalization in Islamic school (madrasah) which is located in Islamic boarding school must be done by doing some efforts in developing a great Islamic school in Islamic boarding school. Here in after, it can be a great school which is able to produce a good human recourses development which has ability in mastering knowledge and science based on holly religion value.

This research conducts to describe and analyze the developing a great Islamic school based on Islamic boarding school which is applied in Islamic school. This research focused on three categories. Thus are the best program which planned to be applied, the strategy of developing and evaluating of a great Islamic school based on Islamic boarding school which is done by Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Darul ‘Ulum Jombang.This research used interpretive/ post positivistic paradigm by using qualitative approach. It used kind of cased-study research. Data collection techniques are gotten by doing: (1) deeply interview, (2) participatory research, and (3) document study/library research. Data and source of data of this research consists of two categories, those are primary and secondary data. Those data which gotten from those three methods are analyzed to get the research result.

Result of the research shows that: in getting development of a great Islamic school based on Islamic boarding school, it need to construct the great programs as one of the characteristics of a great Islamic school which are planned by Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Darul ‘Ulum Jombang. Those programs are: (1) integrated-development research, (2) the implementation of a traditional Islamic-boarding school, and (3) memorizing holly Qur’an/ Tahfidzul Qur’an . Furthermore, the strategy to be done by Madrasah Aliyah Unggulan Darul ‘Ulum to develop an Islamic school based on Islamic boarding school consist of some aspects, those are: Developing Integrated- curriculum, developing the students’ interest and talent , managing Human Resources Development, arranging and managing administration, and the last is developing representative tools and infrastructures of the school. In other side, 3 steps to evaluate the development of the great Islamic school based on Islamic boarding school are done as: program analysis, controlling and monitoring, and the last is arrange printed report based on the results of the analysis performed.
