Abstract
INDONESIA:
Membaca merupakan salah satu jenis kemampuan berbahasa tulis yang bersifat reseptif. Karena dengan membaca seseorang akan memperoleh informasi, memperoleh ilmu dan pengetahuan serta pengalaman-pengalaman baru. Keberhasilan belajar dalam proses belajar di sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh penguasaan kemampuan membaca pada tahap permulaan. Membaca permulaan yang dilaksanakan di kelas 1 adalah agar siswa dapat membaca kata-kata dan kalimat sederhana dengan lancar dan tepat. Untuk itu guru perlu menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang menarik untuk dapat menimbulkan daya tarik bagi siswa agar giat secara aktif dan kreatif dalam mengikuti kegiatan belajar khususnya dalam membaca huruf.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) menjelaskan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 di SD ‘Aisyiyah Kamila Dinoyo Malang, (2) menjelaskan proses pelaksanaan strategi membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas 1 di SD ‘Aisyiyah Kamila Dinoyo Malang, (3) menjelaskan dampak penggunaan strategi pembelajaran membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas 1 di SD ‘Aisyiyah Dinoyo Malang.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif berupa deskriptif. Objek yang diteliti adalah guru kelas dan siswa kelas 1 SD ‘Aisyiyah Kamila Dinoyo Malang. Agar memperoleh gambaran realitas sesuai fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan melalui pengumpulan data dengan memanfaatkan diri peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci. Teknik pengumpulan data dilaksanakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan metode pengumpulan data lainnya. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi data, memaparkan data, dan menarik kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 di SD ‘Aisyiyah Kamila Dinoyo Malang masih rendah dan terdapat beberapa siswa yang membutuhkan bimbingan dan bantuan dari guru dalam membaca., 2) strategi yang digunakan dalam proses pelaksanaan peningkatan kemampuan membaca siswa yaitu strategi ¬buttom-up dengan menggunakan metode basal readers dan metode distar, pendekatan tutor teman sebaya, serta melalui program bimbingan belajar dan BTQ, 3) dampak penggunaan strategi pembelajaran membaca permulaan yakni meningkatnya kemampuan membaca yang ditandai dengan siswa mampu membaca dan menulis secara mandiri, hanya terkendala dalam membaca pada huruf mati.

Reading is one type of language ability to write which is receptive. Because someone will get many information and knowledge also new experiences with reading. The success of learning in the learning process in school is determined by the mastery of the ability to read in the early stages. Reading the beginning done in class 1 is so that students can read simple words and sentences smoothly and precisely. For that teachers need to apply an interesting learning strategy to be able to generate attraction for students to actively and actively participate in learning activities, especially in reading letters.
The Objective of this study is : (1) describes the ability of early reading in 1st grade of student at 'Aisyiyah Kamila Dinoyo Elementary School Malang, (2) to describe the process of implementing the reading strategy of early reading in 1st grade of students at Aisyiyah Kamila Dinoyo Elementary School Malang; (3) to describe the impact from using the strategy learning start reading in 1st grade students at 'Aisyiyah Dinoyo Elementary School Malang.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative approach. Objects studied are classroom teachers and grade 1 elementary school 'Aisyiyah Kamila Dinoyo Malang. In order to obtain a picture of reality according to phenomena that occur in the field through data collection by using self-researcher as a key instrument. Data collection techniques are conducted through observation, interviews, and other data collection methods. Data is analyzed by reducing data, exposing data, and drawing conclusions.
The result of the research in the field shows that: 1) the ability of early reading in 1st grade of students in 'Aisyiyah Kamila Dinoyo Elementary School Malang is still low and there are some students who need guidance and assistance from the teacher in reading, 2) the strategy used in the process of improving the ability to read students using the bottom-up strategy using basal readers method and distar method, peer tutor approach, and through learning guidance and BTQ program, 3) the impact of the use of early reading learning strategy that is the increasing of reading ability marked by students able to read and write in Independent, only constrained in reading on consonant.
