Abstract
INDONESIA:
Salah satu tugas perkembangan psikososial anak adalah tercapainya kemandirian anak. Akan tetapi, peneliti menemukan adanya fenomena yang mengindikasikan anak cenderung kurang mandiri di RA Muslimat 09, Mulyorejo Malang. Sejalan dengan hal itu, Denham (2003) meneliti tentang kontribusi kecakapan emosi anak pra sekolah terhadap kecakapan sosial. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kecakapan emosi terhadap salah satu bagian dari kecakapan sosial anak, yaitu kemandirian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kecakapan emosi anak, tingkat kemandirian anak, serta hubungan kecakapan emosi dengan kemandirian anak di kelas B di RA Muslimat 09 Mulyorejo, Malang dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 72 anak. Metode penelitian kali ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji korelasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan beberapa karakteristik berikut: (1) anak kelas B di RA Muslimat 09, Mulyorejo, Malang, yang berusia 5-6 tahun; (2) subjek sebanyak 31 siswa/siswi TK B dengan status ibu bekerja; (3) subjek berdasarkan gender sebanyak 38 anak laki-laki dan 34 perempuan. Dalam pengambilan data, peneliti menggunakan dua skala, yaitu skala kecakapan emosi yang diadaptasi dari Fasikha, dkk (2016) mengacu pada teori Denham (2007) dan alat tes skala kemandirian VSMS dari E.Doll (1965). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar subjek memiliki kecakapan emosi di atas rata-rata. Selain itu, sebagian besar tingkat kemandirian subjek berada pada tingkat rata-rata. Sedangkan pada hasil korelasi didapatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kecakapan emosi dengan kemandirian anak, dengan nilai p=0.026 dan r=0.263.

Children autonomy is one of the psycosocial development tasks on children. However, the researchers found the existence of a phenomenon that indicates children to be less reliant on RA Muslimat 09, Mulyorejo Malang. In line with it, Denham (2003) found the contribution of pre-school emotional competence to social competence. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the relation between emotional competence with one of social competence skills, that is autonomy. This study aims to describe the level of children emotional competences, the child's level of autonomy, and the relation of emotional competence with autonomy in RA Moslem 09 Mulyorejo, with a total sample of research as much as 72 children. The research method used by researcher here is quantitative research by using the correlation test. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with some of the following characteristics: (1) student/students in the class B RA Muslimat 09, aged 5-6 years; (2) subject as much as 31 students in class B with the mother status is women career; (3) the subject based on gender as much as 38 boys and 34 girls. In data retrieval, researchers use two scales, that is the scale of emotional competence adapted from Fasikha, et al (1999) refers to the theory of Denham (2007) and assay scale autonomy of VSMS e. Doll (1965). Based on the results of the study, it was found that most of the subjects have above the average emotional competence. In addition, most of the autonomy level of the subject are at an average level. While the results of correlation obtained that there is a positive relation between the emotional competence with the children autonomy, with a value of p = 0.026 and r = 0.263.
