Abstract
INDONESIA:
Pantai Jumiang terletak di Desa Tanjung Kecamatan Pademawu Kabupaten Pamekasan adalah salah satu pantai yang ada di sebelah Timur kota Pamekasan. Pantai Jumiang merupakan pantai yang landai dengan daerah pantai yang berpasir, berbatu, dan berlumpur dengan terumbu karang yang kaya akan organisme laut, diantaranya adalah makroalga yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan. Keanekaragaman makroalga di Pantai Jumiang belum banyak diteliti, sehingga perlu dilakukan identifikasi makroalga yang ada disana, agar dapat diketahui makroalga yang potensial, serta dapat dibudidayakan dimasa yang akan datang.
Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2011 sampai dengan Mei 2011 di Pantai Jumiang Kabupaten Pamekasan pada lokasi seluas 11,25 ha dengan menggunakan metode kuadrat 1x1 m2 sebanyak 50 plot. Identifikasi makroalga dilakukan di Laboratorium Ekologi dan Optik Jurusan Biologi Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang dengan menggunakan buku identifikasi Atmadja (1996), Bold (1985), Cholid (2005), Denton (2006), Doty (1985), Hayati (2009), IPTEK (2011), Magruder (1979), Manoa (2001), Paul (2005), Skelton (2003), Taylor (1979), dan Wells (2006).
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui terdapat 24 jenis makroalga, yaitu: Chaetomorpha sp. Enteromorpha flexuosa, Eucheuma cottonii, Microdictyon japonicum, Udotea javensis, Ulva sp. Valonia aegagropila, Ventricaria ventricosa, E. edule, Himanthalia elongate, Padina australis, P. boryana, Sargassum filipendula, S. plagyophyllum, S. polyceratium, Spongonema tomentosum, Stypopodium zonale, Acanthophora spicifera, Bostrychia tenella, E. alvarezii, E. isiforme, E. spinosum, Kappaphycus cottonii, Thamnoclonium dichotomum. Indeks keanekaragaman (H‘) kumulatif makroalga di Pantai Jumiang sebesar 2,84, sedangkan Indeks dominansi kumulatif sebesar 0,07. Ini menunjukkan bahwa keanekaragaman makroalga di Pantai Jumiang tinggi. Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) kumulatif makroalga di Pantai Jumiang menunjukkan bahwa INP tertinggi E. spinosum sebesar 39,15%, sedangkan INP terendah Chaetomorpha sp. dan S. tomentosum sebesar 3,27%.
ENGLISH:
Jumiang Coast which is located in Tanjung, Pademawu subdistrict Pamekasan Regency is that one of coast at eastside of Pamekasan. Jumiang Coast is a sloping coast with sandy, rock bounded, and muddy, with rock bound which is rich of sea organism, among others are macroalgae that is very potential to develop. Diversity of Macroalgae in Jumiang Coast has not yet checked more, so it needs to identicate the Macroalgae, to know the potential macroalgae, and to be cultivated in the future.
Research is held on April 2011 until Mei 2011 in Jumiang coast at Pamekasan in area with 11, 25 ha by using a kuadrat method 1x1 m2 with 50 plot. Th identification of Macroalgae is held in Ecology and Optic Laboratory Departement of Biology, Faculty of Sciences and Technology, The State Islamic University Maulana Malik Ibrahim of Malang by using identification book of Atmadja (1996), Bold (1985), Cholid (2005), Denton (2006), Doty (1985), Hayati (2009), IPTEK (2011), Magruder (1979), Manoa (2001), Paul (2005), Skelton (2003), Taylor (1979), dan Wells (2006).
From the result of research, unknown any 24 variety of Macroalgae, those are: Chaetomorpha sp. Enteromorpha flexuosa, Eucheuma cottonii, Microdictyon japonicum, Udotea javensis, Ulva sp. Valonia aegagropila, Ventricaria ventricosa, E. edule, Himanthalia elongate, Padina australis, P. boryana, Sargassum filipendula, S. plagyophyllum, S. polyceratium, Spongonema tomentosum, Stypopodium zonale, Acanthophora spicifera, Bostrychia tenella, E. alvarezii, E. isiforme, E. spinosum, Kappaphycus cottonii, Thamnoclonium dichotomum. Index of Biodiversity (H‘) of Macroalgae in Jumiang Coast is 2,84, whereas Index of the domination is 0,07. It shows that the Biodiversity of Makroalga in Jumiang Coast is high. Significant Value (INP) in each kind of Macroalgae in Jumiang Coast shows that the highest INP of E. spinosum is 39,15%, whereas the the smaller INP of Chaetomorpha sp. and S. tomentosum is 3,27%.
