Abstract
INDONESIA:
Subjective well-being merupakan evaluasi individu terhadap kehidupannya yang meliputi penilaian kognitif dan afeksi. Individu dikatakan memiliki subjective well-being tinggi jika mengalami lebih banyak afeksi positif atau perasaan menyenangkan dan puas atas kehidupan yang dimiliki. Sebaliknya, orang yang memiliki subjective well-being rendah cenderung diliputi perasaan-perasaan negatif dalam dirinya. Oleh sebab itu, subjective well-being sangat penting dalam kehidupan setiap individu tidak terkecuali pada mahasiswa baru jurusan teknik arsitektur yang memiliki beban tugas yang lebih dari mahasiswa lain. Ada banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi subjective well-being diantaranya self efficacy dan regulasi emosi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang diukur menggunakan empat skala yaitu Affect Schedule (PANAS) dan Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) untuk mengukur subjective well-being. Masing-masing satu skala, yaitu General Self Efficacy (GSE) untuk mengukur self efficacy dan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) untuk mengukur regulasi emosi. Analisis yang dilakukan adalalah analisis deskripsi dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh self efficacy dan regulasi emosi terhadap subjective well-being. Secara bersama-sama, self efficacy dan regulasi emosi mempengaruhi subjective well-being sebesar 32,5%terhadap subjective well-being. Secara terpisah, self efficacy memberikan sumbangan sebanyak 21,62% dan regulasi emosi sebanyak 3,53% terhadap subjective well-being.
ENGLISH:
Subjective well-being is an individual evaluation regarding one’s life including cognitive and affective assessment. An individual can be said to have high subjective well- being if he or she has experienced a lot of positive affective or the happiness and satisfaction upon their life. In opposite, an individual who has low subjective well-being tends to have negative feelings inside. Therefore, subjective well-being is very important in every individual’s life including the life of architecture engineering freshmen. Moreover, they have a tough task from another freshmen. There are a lot of factors which influence subjective well-being such as self-efficacy and emotion regulation. This study used quantitative approach which is measured using four scales which are Affect Schedule (PANAS) and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) to measure the subjective well-being. While the other scales are General Self Efficacy (GSE) to measure self-efficacy and Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) to measure emotion regulation. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regressions. The result of this study shows the influence of self-efficacy and emotion regulation toward subjective well-being. Altogether, self-efficacy and emotion regulation influence subjective well-being for 32.5%. Separately, self-efficacy contributes 21.62% while emotion regulation contributes 3.53% on subjective well-being.
