Abstract
INDONESIA:
Program Madrasah Sains (M-Sains) merupakan program unggulan yang dirancang untuk memperkuat kompetensi lulusan santri abad ke-21. Keberhasilan program tersebut sangat ditentukan oleh kemampuan lembaga pesantren dalam menempatkan Program M-Sains sebagai sistem manajemen pendidikan yang terencana, terintegrasi, dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap dan menemukan konstruksi model manajemen Program M-Sains melalui tiga fokus, yaitu perencanaan program, pelaksanaan program, serta monitoring dan evaluasi program dalam mengintegrasikan sumber daya pendidikan berbasis 5M (Man, Money, Material, Method, dan Machine) untuk penguatan kompetensi lulusan santri abad ke-21.
Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian meliputi pengasuh pesantren, kepala lembaga, ketua Program M-Sains, guru pembina, kepala laboratorium, tim monitoring dan evaluasi, pengurus asrama, serta santri Program M-Sains. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan telaah dokumen kelembagaan. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña melalui proses kondensasi data, coding, kategorisasi, analisis tematik, penyajian data, serta verifikasi temuan. Keabsahan data dijaga melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik, member check, peer debriefing, serta audit trail.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) perencanaan Program M-Sains dilakukan melalui penyelarasan visi kelembagaan, kebijakan program, blueprint pengembangan, renstra, renop, kaderisasi akademik lintas jenjang, serta integrasi sumber daya pendidikan berbasis 5M. Keseluruhan komponen tersebut membentuk sistem perencanaan yang saling terhubung dalam mengarahkan pengembangan program, penguatan kapasitas akademik, pemenuhan sumber daya, dan keberlanjutan program. Temuan konseptual pada fokus ini dirumuskan sebagai SIAGA Strategic Planning (Strategic Integrated Academic Governance and Advancement), yaitu sistem perencanaan program yang sistemik, integratif, dan holistik melalui penyelarasan visi, kebijakan, kaderisasi akademik, serta integrasi sumber daya pendidikan berbasis 5M dalam mendukung penguatan kompetensi lulusan santri abad ke-21. (2) Pelaksanaan Program M-Sains dijalankan melalui pengembangan budaya akademik, budaya riset, budaya literasi, integrasi sains dan nilai-nilai keislaman, pembinaan asrama, serta penguatan academic ecosystem yang membentuk lingkungan belajar santri secara menyeluruh. Temuan konseptual pada fokus ini dirumuskan sebagai EKOSA Pesantren (Ekosistem Keilmuan, Sains, dan Adab Pesantren), yaitu ekosistem pendidikan yang mengintegrasikan tradisi keilmuan, pengembangan sains, pembentukan adab, dan pembinaan karakter santri dalam satu kesatuan sistem pesantren. (3) Monitoring dan evaluasi Program M-Sains dilakukan melalui monitoring program, evaluasi berkala, quality assurance, tindak lanjut hasil evaluasi, serta continuous improvement yang terintegrasi dalam sistem pengendalian mutu program. Temuan konseptual pada fokus ini dirumuskan sebagai PRIME Quality System (Program Reflection, Improvement, Monitoring, and Evaluation), yaitu sistem penjaminan mutu yang mengintegrasikan refleksi, evaluasi, pengendalian, dan pengembangan program secara berkelanjutan untuk menjaga efektivitas dan keberlanjutan program.
Integrasi ketiga temuan konseptual tersebut menghasilkan M-SAINS PROPHETIC Model, yaitu model manajemen Program Madrasah Sains yang memadukan SIAGA Strategic Planning, EKOSA Pesantren, dan PRIME Quality System melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai profetik serta integrasi sumber daya pendidikan berbasis 5M. Model ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan program ditentukan oleh keterpaduan perencanaan strategik, ekosistem keilmuan dan sains pesantren, serta budaya mutu berkelanjutan dalam penguatan kompetensi lulusan santri abad ke-21. Temuan ini memperkaya kajian Manajemen Pendidikan Islam dan menjadi rujukan pengembangan program unggulan pendidikan Islam yang berdaya saing global.
ENGLISH:
The Madrasah Sains (M-Sains) Program is a flagship initiative designed to strengthen the competencies of twenty-first-century pesantren graduates. The success of this program largely depends on the pesantren institution's ability to position the M-Sains Program as a well-planned, integrated, and sustainable educational management system. This research aims to explore and develop a conceptual model of M-Sains Program management by focusing on program planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation in integrating 5M-based educational resources (Man, Money, Material, Method, and Machine) to strengthen the competencies of twenty-first-century pesantren graduates.
The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The participants included the pesantren caregiver, institutional leaders, the head of the M-Sains Program, supervising teachers, laboratory heads, the monitoring and evaluation team, dormitory administrators, and M-Sains students. The researcher collected data through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and institutional document analysis. He analyzed the data using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which involved data condensation, coding, categorization, thematic analysis, data display, and verification of findings. The researcher applied source and technique triangulation, member checking, peer debriefing, and an audit trail to check data validity.
The research results reveal that: (1) the planning of the M-Sains Program involves the alignment of institutional vision, program policies, development blueprints, strategic plans, operational plans, cross-level academic cadre development, and the integration of 5M-based educational resources. These components form an interconnected planning system that directs program development, strengthens academic capacity, ensures resource availability, and promotes program sustainability. The conceptual findings in this area are formulated as SIAGA Strategic Planning (Strategic Integrated Academic Governance and Advancement), a systematic, integrative, and holistic planning system that aligns vision, policies, academic cadre development, and 5M-based educational resource integration to strengthen twenty-first-century pesantren graduates’ competencies. (2) The implementation of the M-Sains Program is conducted through the development of academic culture, research culture, literacy culture, the integration of science and Islamic values, dormitory-based guidance, and the strengthening of an academic ecosystem that comprehensively shapes santri/students’ learning experiences. This conceptual finding is formulated as EKOSA Pesantren (Ecosystem of Knowledge, Science, and Pesantren Ethics), which integrates scholarly traditions, scientific development, ethical formation, and student character development within a unified pesantren system. (3) The monitoring and evaluation of the M-Sains Program are conducted through program monitoring, periodic evaluation, quality assurance, follow-up actions based on evaluation results, and continuous improvement integrated into the program quality control system. This conceptual finding is formulated as PRIME Quality System (Program Reflection, Improvement, Monitoring, and Evaluation), a quality assurance system that integrates reflection, evaluation, control, and continuous program development to maintain program effectiveness and sustainability.
The integration of these three conceptual findings yields the M-SAINS PROPHETIC Model, a management model for the Madrasah Sains Program that combines SIAGA Strategic Planning, EKOSA Pesantren, and the PRIME Quality System by internalizing prophetic values and integrating 5M-based educational resources. This model demonstrates that program success depends on integrating strategic planning, a pesantren-based ecosystem of knowledge and science, and a culture of continuous quality improvement to strengthen the competencies of twenty-first-century pesantren graduates. These findings enrich the field of Islamic Educational Management and provide a reference framework for developing globally competitive flagship programs in Islamic education.
