Abstract

INDONESIA:

Kebutuhan masyarakat akan konsumsi daging sebagai sumber protein hewani di Indonesia masih sangat rendah dikarenakan harga yang relatif mahal. Ayam pedaging merupakan salah satu alternatif yang dipilih dalam upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan protein hewani. Untuk dapat mencapai standar produksi ayam pedaging, diperlukan pakan yang memiliki kualitas dan kuantitas yang baik. Industri perunggasan mengalami keterpurukan karena harga bahan pakan yang semakin mahal karena harus impor. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pakan ternak adalah onggok namun onggok kering sabagai pakan ayam masih belum banyak dijumpai karena rendahnya kandungan protein (1,72%) dan tingginya kandungan serat kasar (14,80%). Upaya peningkatan kandungan protein onggok dilakukan secara biologis yaitu fermentasi. Hasil fermentasi akan semakin baik jika dengan menambahkan molase yang memiliki kandungan energi yang tinggi karena banyak mengandung glukosa, protein 3,1% media ini sesuai bagi kehidupan mikroorganisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian onggok dan molase terfermentasi terhadap konsumsi pakan, konversi pakan dan pertambahan bobot badan ayam pedaging.

Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan 5 ulangan. Data dianalisis dengan Analisis Variansi Satu Jalur, jika terdapat pengaruh dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) 0,05. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah campuran onggok dan molase terfermentasi sebanyak 0%; 5%; 10%; dan 15% dalam ransum. Penghitungan sisa pakan dilakukan setiap hari untuk mengetahui konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan dihitung setiap satu minggu sekali dan konversi pakan dihitung di akhir penelitian.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian campuran onggok dan molase terfermentasi berpengaruh nyata (P<5%) terhadap konsumsi pakan, konversi pakan dan pertambahan bobot badan ayam pedaging. Rataan konsumsi pakan pada perlakuan P0, P1, P2 dan P3 adalah 2292; 2503; 2408; dan 2055 gr/minggu. Rataan konversi pakan pada perlakuan P0, P1, P2 dan P3 adalah 1,71; 1,96; 2,32 dan 3,00. Rataan pertambahan bobot badan pada perlakuan P0, P1, P2 dan P3 adalah 1334,3; 1277,2; 1046,4 dan 693 gr/minggu. Campuran onggok dan molase sebanyak 10% dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan konsumsi pakan, dan campuran onggok dan molase 5% dapat meningkatkan pertambahan bobot badan dan memperbaiki konversi pakan ayam pedaging.

ENGLISH:

Community needs for the consumption of meat as a source of animal protein in Indonesia is still very low because the price is relatively expensive. Broiler chickens is one of the selected alternative in order to meet the needs of animal protein. In order to achieve the standard broiler production, feed required to have good quality and quantity. Poultry industry experienced downturn because prices are more expensive feed ingredients because they have to import. One alternative that can be used as animal feed ingredients are dried onggok but chicken feed is still prevalent because of the low protein content (1.72%) and high content of crude fiber (14.80%). Efforts to increase the protein content of the biologically onggok done fermenting. The results will be even better if the fermentation by adding molasses which has a high energy content because it contains glucose, protein 3.1% of media is appropriate for the life of microorganisms. This research aims to determine the effect of the use onggok and fermented molasses on feed consumption, feed conversion and broiler body weight gain.

This research is experimental by using Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatment 5 replicates. Data were analyzed by One Way Anova, if there is influence continued with the Smallest Real Differences test (BNT) 0.05. The treatment used is a mixture of fermented molasses onggok and as much as 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% in the ration. Calculation of food remains done every day to determine feed consumption, body weight gain was calculated every week and feed conversion was calculated at the end of the research.

The results of research showed that the use of fermented molasses mixture onggok and significant effect (P <5%) on feed consumption, feed conversion and broiler body weight gain. Average of feed consumption in treatment P0, P1, P2 and P3 is 2292; 2503; 2408, and 2055 g/week. Average feed conversion in treatment P0, P1, P2 and P3 is 1.71: 1.96: 2.32 and 3.00. Mean body weight gain in treatment P0, P1, P2 and P3 are 1334.3: 1277.2: 1046.4 and 693 g/week. Onggok molasses mixture and as much as 10% in the ration can improve feed consumption, and a mixture of molasses onggok and 5% can increase body weight gain and improve feed conversion of broilers.
