Pengaruh motivasi belajar dan curiosity terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMP melalui soal tipe TIMSS

Motivasi belajar matematika siswa masih rendah, ditandai dengan minimnya inisiatif belajar, ketidakseriusan dalam menyelesaikan tugas, serta kecenderungan pasif dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, curiosity siswa belum berkembang optimal, terlihat dari rendahnya keaktifan bertanya, kurangnya eksplorasi ide, dan ketergantungan pada jawaban yang tersedia. Kondisi tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, yang tercermin dari kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah dan kurangnya kemampuan menghasilkan strategi alternatif, khususnya pada soal berbasis TIMSS. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengkaji pengaruh motivasi belajar dan curiosity terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif kausal. yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar (X₁) dan curiosity (X₂) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis (Y). Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 124 siswa, dengan sampel 94 siswa yang ditentukan melalui teknik random sampling menggunakan rumus Slovin. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi angket dan tes, Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan melalui analisis deskriptif dan inferensial dengan bantuan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS Statistic 22, yang mencakup uji prasyarat (normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, multikolinieritas, dan autokorelasi) serta uji hipotesis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dan berganda.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMP melalui soal berbasis TIMSS dengan kontribusi sebesar 46%, sedangkan 54% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Selain itu, curiosity juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dengan kontribusi sebesar 22,3%, sementara 77,7% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian. Secara simultan, motivasi belajar dan curiosity memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa melalui soal berbasis TIMSS dengan besar pengaruh sebesar 47,6%, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Dengan demikian, motivasi belajar dan curiosity merupakan faktor penting yang perlu dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa melalui soal berbasis TIMSS.

Students’ motivation to learn mathematics is still relatively low, as indicated by the lack of learning initiative, insufficient seriousness in completing assignments, and passive participation during the learning process. In addition, students’ curiosity has not developed optimally, which can be seen from their low activeness in asking questions, limited exploration of ideas, and dependence on available answers. These conditions have an impact on the low level of students’ mathematical creative thinking ability, reflected in difficulties in solving problems and generating alternative strategies, particularly in TIMSS-tipe problems. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research examining the influence of learning motivation and curiosity on students’ mathematical creative thinking ability.

This study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design aimed at determining the influence of learning motivation (X₁) and curiosity (X₂) on mathematical creative thinking ability (Y). The population consisted of all eighth-grade students totaling 124 students, with a sample of 94 students selected through random sampling using the Slovin formula. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and tests. The obtained data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics, including prerequisite tests (normality, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation) as well as hypothesis testing using simple and multiple linear regression analyses.

The results showed that learning motivation had a significant influence on students’ mathematical creative thinking ability through TIMSS-tipe problems, contributing 46%, while the remaining 54% was influenced by other factors. Furthermore, curiosity also had a significant influence on students’ mathematical creative thinking ability, contributing 22.3%, while the remaining 77.7% was affected by factors outside the scope of this study. Simultaneously, learning motivation and curiosity had a positive and significant influence on students’ mathematical creative thinking ability through TIMSS-tipe problems, with a combined contribution of 47.6%, while the remainder was influenced by other unexamined factors. Therefore, learning motivation and curiosity are important factors that need to be developed in order to improve students’ mathematical creative thinking ability through TIMSS-tipe problems.

لا تزال دافعية الطلاب لتعلّم الرياضيات منخفضة، ويتضح ذلك من خلال ضعف المبادرة في التعلّم، وعدم الجدية في إنجاز الواجبات، إضافةً إلى الميل إلى السلبية أثناء عملية التعلّم. كما أن حبّ الاستطلاع لدى الطلاب لم يتطور بالشكل الأمثل، ويظهر ذلك من خلال ضعف المشاركة في طرح الأسئلة، وقلة استكشاف الأفكار، والاعتماد على الإجابات الجاهزة. وقد أثّرت هذه الظروف على انخفاض القدرة على التفكير الإبداعي الرياضي، ويتجلى ذلك في صعوبة حل المشكلات وضعف القدرة على إنتاج استراتيجيات بديلة، خاصة في الأسئلة القائمة على دراسة الاتجاهات الدولية في الرياضيات والعلوم. لذلك، كان من الضروري إجراء هذا البحث لدراسة تأثير دافعية التعلّم وحبّ الاستطلاع على القدرة على التفكير الإبداعي الرياضي لدى الطلاب.

استخدم هذا البحث المنهج الكمي بنوع البحث الارتباطي السببي، بهدف معرفة تأثير دافعية التعلّم وحبّ الاستطلاع على القدرة على التفكير الإبداعي الرياضي . وتكوّن مجتمع البحث من جميع طلاب الصف الثامن وعددهم ١٢٤ طالبًا، بينما بلغت العينة ٩٤ طالبًا تم تحديدهم باستخدام أسلوب العينة العشوائية وفق معادلة سلوفين. وشملت أدوات جمع البيانات الاستبانة والاختبار، ثم تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام التحليل الوصفي والاستدلالي بمساعدة برنامج بمساعدة برنامج ٢٢، والذي تضمن اختبارات المتطلبات المسبقة (الطبيعية، وعدم تجانس التباين، والتعدد الخطي، والارتباط الذاتي)، إضافة إلى اختبار الفرضيات باستخدام تحليل الانحدار الخطي البسيط والمتعدد.

أظهرت نتائج البحث أن دافعية التعلّم لها تأثير دال إحصائيًا على القدرة على التفكير الإبداعي الرياضي لدى طلاب المرحلة المتوسطة من خلال أسئلة قائمة على دراسة الاتجاهات الدولية في الرياضيات والعلوم بنسبة مساهمة بلغت ٪٤٦، بينما تأثرت نسبة ٥٤٪ بعوامل أخرى. كما أن حبّ الاستطلاع له تأثير دال إحصائيًا على القدرة على التفكير الإبداعي الرياضي بنسبة مساهمة بلغت ٢٢,٣٪, في حين تأثرت نسبة ٧٧,٧٪ بعوامل أخرى خارج نطاق البحث. وفي الوقت نفسه، أظهرت دافعية التعلّم وحبّ الاستطلاع معًا تأثيرًا إيجابيًا ودالًا إحصائيًا على القدرة على التفكير الإبداعي الرياضي من خلال أسئلة قائمة على دراسة الاتجاهات الدولية في الرياضيات والعلوم بنسبة تأثير بلغت ٤٧,٦٪، بينما تأثرت النسبة المتبقية بعوامل أخرى لم يتم بحثها في هذه الدراسة. وبذلك، تُعدّ دافعية التعلّم وحبّ الاستطلاع من العوامل المهمة التي ينبغي تطويرها لتحسين القدرة على التفكير الإبداعي الرياضي لدى الطلاب من خلال أسئلة قائمة على دراسة الاتجاهات الدولية في الرياضيات والعلوم.
