Maritime Chronicles: Gallery For Maritime Eco Culture And Education Area In Probolinggo

ABSTRAK:

Indonesia merupakan negara maritim yang memiliki sejarah panjang dalam bidang pelayaran, perdagangan, dan kebudayaan bahari. Namun, potensi sejarah maritim tersebut belum didukung oleh fasilitas yang mampu mewadahi fungsi edukasi, apresiasi, dan pelestarian secara terpadu. Di sisi lain, Kawasan Wisata Pantai Bentar di Kabupaten Probolinggo memiliki potensi alam pesisir, ekosistem mangrove, serta nilai sejarah dan budaya yang besar, tetapi pemanfaatannya masih didominasi sebagai kawasan rekreasi sehingga belum mampu mengoptimalkan fungsi edukasi dan pelestarian lingkungan. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, tugas akhir ini merancang Maritime Chronicles: Gallery for Maritime Eco Culture and Education Area in Probolinggo sebagai kawasan wisata edukatif yang mengintegrasikan sejarah maritim, budaya pesisir, dan ekologi dalam satu kesatuan kawasan. Pendekatan Arsitektur Naratif digunakan sebagai dasar perancangan dengan menerapkan konsep storytelling melalui penyusunan urutan ruang (spatial sequence) yang mengikuti perjalanan sejarah maritim Indonesia, mulai dari era Sriwijaya, Majapahit, Kolonial, hingga Indonesia modern. Metode perancangan meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, studi preseden, analisis tapak, analisis aktivitas dan kebutuhan ruang, serta sintesis konsep perancangan. Hasil rancangan menghadirkan kawasan Maritime Eco Culture and Education Area yang terdiri atas Gallery Maritime, Eco Culture Hub, dan Eco Resort sebagai fasilitas yang saling terintegrasi. Penerapan pendekatan naratif diwujudkan melalui pengalaman ruang yang dibangun dengan pengolahan massa, sirkulasi, pencahayaan, material, dan elemen pamer sehingga mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang komunikatif dan membangun keterlibatan emosional pengunjung. Perancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif pengembangan kawasan wisata berbasis edukasi dan ekowisata di Kabupaten Probolinggo, sekaligus meningkatkan apresiasi masyarakat terhadap sejarah maritim Indonesia serta mendorong pelestarian budaya dan lingkungan pesisir.

ABSTRACT :

Indonesia is a maritime nation with a long history of seafaring, trade, and maritime culture. However, this rich maritime heritage has not been adequately supported by facilities that integrate education, appreciation, and preservation. Meanwhile, Pantai Bentar Tourism Area in Probolinggo Regency possesses significant coastal natural resources, mangrove ecosystems, and historical and cultural values. Nevertheless, the area is still predominantly utilized as a recreational destination, limiting its potential to support environmental education and conservation. Based on these issues, this final project proposes the design of Maritime Chronicles: Gallery for Maritime Eco Culture and Education Area in Probolinggo as an educational tourism destination that integrates maritime history, coastal culture, and ecological values within a unified environment. The project adopts the Narrative Architecture approach by implementing storytelling through spatial sequence, guiding visitors along the historical journey of Indonesian maritime civilization, from the Srivijaya Kingdom, the Majapahit Kingdom, and the Colonial Era to modern Indonesia. The design method includes literature review, site observation, precedent studies, site analysis, activity and space requirement analysis, and design concept synthesis. The proposed design consists of an integrated Maritime Eco Culture and Education Area, comprising the Gallery Maritime, Eco Culture Hub, and Eco Resort. The narrative approach is expressed through the arrangement of building masses, circulation, lighting, materials, and exhibition elements to create an educational and immersive spatial experience that encourages visitors' emotional engagement. This project is expected to become an alternative model for educational tourism and ecotourism development in Probolinggo Regency while enhancing public appreciation of Indonesia's maritime history and promoting the preservation of coastal culture and the environment.

تُعدّ إندونيسيا دولةً بحرية تمتلك تاريخًا طويلًا في الملاحة والتجارة والثقافة البحرية. ومع ذلك، لا تزال الإمكانات التاريخية البحرية في البلاد تفتقر إلى مرافق متكاملة تُعنى بالتعليم والتقدير والحفاظ على هذا الإرث. وفي الوقت نفسه، تمتلك منطقة شاطئ بنتار في محافظة بروبولينغو مقومات طبيعية ساحلية، ونظمًا بيئية للمانغروف، وقيمًا تاريخية وثقافية متميزة، إلا أن استثمارها لا يزال يقتصر في الغالب على الأنشطة الترفيهية، مما يحدّ من دورها في دعم التعليم البيئي والمحافظة على البيئة. وانطلاقًا من هذه الإشكالية، يهدف هذا المشروع إلى تصميم Maritime Chronicles: Gallery for Maritime Eco Culture and Education Area in Probolinggo بوصفه وجهةً سياحية تعليمية تجمع بين التاريخ البحري والثقافة الساحلية والقيم البيئية ضمن بيئة متكاملة. ويعتمد التصميم على منهج العمارة السردية (Narrative Architecture) من خلال توظيف أسلوب السرد المكاني (Spatial Sequence) لتوجيه الزائر عبر رحلة تاريخية تعكس تطور الحضارة البحرية الإندونيسية، بدءًا من عصر مملكة سريويجايا، ثم مملكة ماجاباهيت، مرورًا بفترة الاستعمار، وصولًا إلى إندونيسيا الحديثة. وتشمل منهجية التصميم مراجعة الأدبيات، والملاحظات الميدانية، ودراسة المشاريع المرجعية، وتحليل الموقع، وتحليل الأنشطة واحتياجات الفراغات، وصولًا إلى صياغة مفهوم التصميم. وأسفر المشروع عن تصميم منطقة متكاملة تحت اسم Maritime Eco Culture and Education Area تضم Gallery Maritime وEco Culture Hub وEco Resort. وقد جُسِّد النهج السردي من خلال تنظيم الكتل المعمارية، ومسارات الحركة، والإضاءة، والمواد، وعناصر العرض، بما يوفّر تجربة مكانية تعليمية غامرة تُعزّز التفاعل العاطفي للزائر. ويُتوقع أن يُسهم هذا المشروع في تطوير السياحة التعليمية والسياحة البيئية في محافظة بروبولينغو، مع تعزيز الوعي بتاريخ إندونيسيا البحري ودعم جهود الحفاظ على الثقافة الساحلية والبيئة.
