Kurangnya pendidikan dan pengawasan telah menyebabkan degradasi lingkungan, termasuk kerusakan fisik pada karang akibat kontak langsung dan polusi pantai. Kondisi ini menyoroti perlunya pendekatan pariwisata yang tidak hanya berfokus pada rekreasi tetapi juga menekankan pendidikan dan konservasi lingkungan secara berkelanjutan. Sebagai solusi, diusulkan sebuah Resor Eco-Wisata Edukatif di Pantai Pasir Putih, Situbondo, yang mengintegrasikan fungsi pariwisata, pendidikan, dan konservasi dalam satu area. Desain ini menerapkan prinsip - prinsip arsitektur ekowisata melalui perencanaan lahan yang mengikuti kondisi alam, penggunaan material ramah lingkungan, dan penyediaan fasilitas pendidikan seperti area pendidikan, dek laut, dan jalur pembelajaran. Desain ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pelestarian ekosistem pantai sekaligus menciptakan pengalaman wisata yang berkelanjutan dan edukatif.

Situbondo has significant coastal tourism potential, particularly at Pasir Putih Beach, which is known for its clear seawater, white sandy shoreline, and the beauty of its coral reef ecosystem. This underwater attraction makes the area a prominent natural tourism destination, drawing visitors for various recreational and marine exploration activities. However, the increasing number of tourism activities that are not properly managed has the potential to cause damage to the coral reef ecosystem. The lack of education and supervision has led to environmental degradation, including physical damage to corals due to direct contact and coastal pollution. This condition highlights the need for a tourism approach that not only focuses on recreation but also emphasizes education and environmental conservation in a sustainable manner. As a solution, an Educational Eco-Tourism Resort at Pasir Putih Beach, Situbondo is proposed, integrating tourism, education, and conservation functions within a single area. This design applies eco-tourism architectural principles through site planning that follows natural conditions, the use of environmentally friendly materials, and the provision of educational facilities such as an education area, marine deck, and learning trails. This design is expected to support the preservation of coastal ecosystems while creating a sustainable and educational tourism experience.
