يتناول هذا البحث الانعكاس الاجتماعي في رواية زقاق المدق بقلم نجيب محفوظ باستخدام منهج علم الأدبي الاجتماع وفق نظرية آلان سوينجوود. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى وصف أشكال الانعكاس الاجتماعي في رواية زقاق المدق، وبيان العلاقة بين الواقع الاجتماعي للمجتمع المصري والانعكاسات الاجتماعية المصورة في رواية "زقاق المدق" بقلم نجيب محفوظ. استخدم هذا البحث المنهج الوصفي الكيفي، أما أساليب جمع البيانات فتمثلت في القراءة والتدوين. وتمثلت البيانات الأولية في رواية زقاق المدق، بينما جمعت البيانات الثانوية من الكتب والمجلات العلمية والمقالات والمصادر الأخرى ذات الصلة بنظرية آلان سوينجوود. أما تحليل البيانات فاعتمد على نظرية مايلز وهوبرمان، من خلال تقليل البيانات، وعرضها، ثم استخلاص النتائج. وأظهرت نتائج البحث أن رواية تعكس أشكالًا متعددة من الواقع الاجتماعي في المجتمع المصري، وهي: (1) الفقر وحياة الطبقة الدنيا، (2) التغير الاجتماعي الناتج عن التحديث، (3) الانحراف الأخلاقي وتدهور القيم الدينية، (4) عدم المساواة بين الجنسين والعنف ضد المرأة، (5) أوضاع مصر في فترة الاستعمار البريطاني. كما ظهرت العلاقة بين الواقع الاجتماعي للمجتمع المصري والانعكاسات الاجتماعية المصورة في رواية "زقاق المدق" من خلال تصوير الوضع السياسي في مصر خلال الاستعمار البريطاني، والفقر والتفاوت الاجتماعي، وتغير أنماط حياة المجتمع.

ABSTRACT

This research discusses social reflection in the novel Zuqoq Midaq by Naguib Mahfouz using a sociology of literature approach based on Alan Swingewood’s theory. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of social reflection in the novel Zuqoq Midaq and to explain the relationship between the social reality of Egyptian society and the social reflections represented in the novel, based on the perspective of the sociology of literature proposed by Alan Swingewood. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of reading and note-taking. The primary data source is the novel Zuqoq Midaq, while the secondary data are obtained from books, journals, articles, and other sources relevant to Alan Swingewood’s theory. The data analysis technique used refers to the theory of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that the novel Zuqoq Midaq reflects various forms of Egyptian social realities, including: (1) poverty and lower-class life, (2) social changes caused by modernization, (3) moral deviation and the degradation of religious values, (4) gender inequality and violence against women, and (5) the condition of Egypt during British colonialism. Furthermore, the relationship between the social reality of Egyptian society and the social reflections presented in the novel is evident through the portrayal of Egypt’s political situation under British colonial rule, poverty and social inequality, and changes in people’s lifestyles. This research shows that the novel Zuqoq Midaq not only possesses literary aesthetic value but also serves as a medium for reflecting the social realities of Egyptian society during its time.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini membahas tentang refleksi sosial pada novel Zuqoq Midaq karya Naguib Mahfouz dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra berdasarkan teori Alan Swingewood. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeksripsikan bentuk-bentuk refleksi sosial dalam novel Zuqoq Midaq serta menjelaskan hubungan antara realitas sosial masyarakat Mesir dengan refleksi sosial yang dipresentasikan dalam novel Zuqoq Midaq berdasarkan perspektif sosiologi sastra Alan Swingewood. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa membaca dan mencatat. Sumber data primer berupa novel Zuqoq Midaq sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari buku, jurnal, artikel dan sumber lain yang relevan dengan teori Alan Swingewood. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan mengacu pada teori Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel Zuqoq Midaq merefleksikan berbagai bentuk sosial masyarakat Mesir meliputi: (1) Kemiskinan dan kehidupan kelas bawah, (2) Perubahan sosial akibat modernisasi (3) Penyimpangan moral dan degradasi nilai agama (4) Ketimpangan gender dan kekerasan terhadap perempuan (5) Situasi Mesir pada masa kolonialisme Inggris. Serta hubungan antara realitas sosial masyarakat Mesir dengan refleksi sosial yang di presentasikan dalam novel yang terlihat melalui gambaran situasi politik Mesir pada masa kolinialisme Inggris, ke miskinan dan ketimpangan sosial, perubahan gaya hidup masyarakat. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa novel Zuqoq Midaq tidak hanya memiliki nilai estetika sastra, tetapi juga menjadi media refleksi atau realitas sosial masyarakat Mesir pada masanya.
