Abstract

INDONESIA:

This study aims to analyze the effect of Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and Third Party Funds (DPK) on the total financing of Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) in Indonesia, as well as to examine the role of inflation as a moderating variable. This study applies a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of BUS panel data in Indonesia for the period 2015–2024. The data analysis techniques applied are panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) using EViews software. The results reveal that, partially, NPF does not have a significant effect on total financing, while TFD has a positive and significant effect on total financing. Simultaneously, NPF and TFD are proven to have a significant effect on total BUS financing in Indonesia. Furthermore, the moderation test results show that inflation is able to moderate the effect of NPF on total financing by weakening the relationship. However, inflation is not proven to moderate the effect of DPK on total financing. These findings show that the role of inflation is more dominant in influencing the relationship between financing risk and fund collection, so it is important to consider this in Islamic bank financing policy making.
