Implementasi sensor pada koleksi buku di Perpustakaan Pondok Pesantren Babus Salam

Perpustakaan Pondok Pesantren Babus Salam menerapkan sensor pada koleksi bukunya dilatarbelakangi oleh masuknya laporan dari santri dan guru terkait buku sensitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses implementasi sensor terhadap koleksi buku di Perpustakaan Pondok Pesantren Babus Salam. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sensor di Perpustakaan Pondok Pesantren Babus Salam merupakan langkah untuk menjaga santri dari informasi sensitif dan tidak sejalan dengan nilai-nilai pesantren. Pemahaman Kepala Perpustakaan dan Staf Tata Usaha Perpustakaan mengenai sensor terbentuk secara bertahap melalui praktik sensor secara langsung. Kebijakan sensor saat ini belum tertulis dan masih disampaikan secara lisan, namun terdapat kategori informasi yang disensor di perpustakaan meliputi pornografi, SARA, politik yang tidak netral, dukungan terhadap kelompok terlarang, dan materi keagamaan yang berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahpahaman. Secara teknis, implementasi sensor dilakukan melalui mekanisme preventif, yaitu sebelum buku dipajang di rak, dan reaktif berdasarkan laporan dari pengguna. Partisipasi pengguna berperan penting dalam pelaksanaan sensor melalui penyampaian laporan koleksi sensitif. Pelaksanaan sensor meliputi seleksi awal koleksi, penutupan bagian yang dianggap sensitif, penarikan buku dari rak serta katalog digital, dan pemisahan buku fisik ke lokasi terpisah. Penelitian menemukan kendala dalam implementasi sensor berupa ketiadaan kebijakan tertulis, keterbatasan kompetensi dan pelatihan yang diperoleh pustakawan, serta dilema dalam menyeimbangkan akses informasi dan perlindungan moral santri.

The Babus Salam Islamic Boarding School Library implemented censorship on its book collection due to reports from students and teachers regarding sensitive books. This study aims to determine the process of implementing censorship on book collections at the Babus Salam Islamic Boarding School Library. The study used qualitative methods with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of censorship in the Babus Salam Islamic Boarding School Library is a step to protect students from sensitive information that is inconsistent with the values of the Islamic boarding school. The Head of the Library and Library Administration Staff's understanding of censorship was formed gradually through direct censorship practices. The current censorship policy is unwritten and is still communicated verbally, so its implementation depends on the direction of the Head of the Library. Categories of information censored in the library include pornography, SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations), non-neutral politics, support for banned groups, and religious material that has the potential to cause misunderstanding. Technically, censorship is implemented through preventive mechanisms, namely before books are displayed on the shelves, and reactive based on reports from users. User participation plays a crucial role in the implementation of censorship through the submission of reports of sensitive collections. The implementation of censorship includes initial selection of collections, closure of sections deemed sensitive, removal of books from shelves and digital catalogs, and segregation of physical books into separate locations. The study found obstacles in the implementation of censorship in the form of the lack of a written policy, limited competence and training received by librarians, and the dilemma of balancing access to information with the moral protection of students.

طبقت مكتبة مدرسة بابوس سلام الإسلامية الداخلية الرقابة على مجموعات كتبها بناءً على تقارير من الطلاب والمعلمين بشأن كتب حساسة. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد آلية تطبيق الرقابة على مجموعات الكتب في مكتبة مدرسة بابوس سلام الإسلامية الداخلية. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج النوعي، مع تقنيات جمع البيانات من خلال الملاحظة والمقابلات والتوثيق. تشير النتائج إلى أن تطبيق الرقابة في مكتبة مدرسة بابوس سلام الإسلامية الداخلية يُعد خطوة لحماية الطلاب من المعلومات الحساسة التي تتعارض مع قيم المدرسة. وقد تشكّل فهم رئيس المكتبة وموظفي إدارتها للرقابة تدريجيًا من خلال ممارسات الرقابة المباشرة. لا تزال سياسة الرقابة الحالية غير مكتوبة ويتم التواصل بشأنها شفهيًا، إلا أن بعض فئات المعلومات الخاضعة للرقابة في المكتبات تشمل المواد الإباحية، والمحتوى المتعلق بالعرق أو الدين أو الجنس أو العلاقات بين الجماعات، والآراء السياسية غير المحايدة، ودعم الجماعات المحظورة، والمواد الدينية التي قد تُثير سوء فهم. من الناحية الفنية، تُطبّق الرقابة من خلال آليات وقائية، أي قبل عرض الكتب على الرفوف، وآليات تفاعلية بناءً على بلاغات المستخدمين. وتلعب مشاركة المستخدمين دورًا حاسمًا في تطبيق الرقابة من خلال تقديم تقارير عن المجموعات الحساسة. يشمل تطبيق الرقابة الاختيار الأولي للمجموعات، وإغلاق الأقسام التي تُعتبر حساسة، وإزالة الكتب من الرفوف والفهارس الرقمية، وفصل الكتب الورقية في أماكن منفصلة. وجدت الدراسة عقبات في تطبيق الرقابة تتمثل في غياب سياسة مكتوبة، ومحدودية الكفاءة والتدريب الذي يتلقاه أمناء المكتبات، ومعضلة الموازنة بين الوصول إلى المعلومات والحماية الأخلاقية للطلاب.
